Now I know there is the golden rule about drinking when you sarge. Here's some quick backstory. The other night I went drinking with a couple coworkers from work. I wasn't in the mood to sarge nor was it my intention. But I noticed some of the best looking women from my work were there... so I figured why not. Problem is... the more I drank the more introverted I became. Now I'm trying to figure out if this was because of a mental block I had or if it was directly related to my drinking. Have you guys heard of this. I never really paid attention to how social I was while drinking until the other night when I had the purpose in mind to sarge. |

Typically drinking causes people to become extroverted, not introverted. Although I have seen a few people that when they drink, due to a major lack of self confidence and shyness, they would end up becoming introverted. So unless you are very shy and unconfident, the only thing I could think is that you were just feeling tired and didn't really want to sarge, so drinking made you lazy. That happened to me last weekend. We waited in line for almost an hour and a half, then the people we were meeting decided to change clubs just as we were about to get in, then we left that club because it was so tiny and went to this little pub with barely anyone in it. I ended up sitting there just talking to the guys I came with for a while before I forced myself to get up and not make a shitty first impression. |

Well the thing is when I'm sober I am pretty social. I used to be very introverted but I've defiantly improved. |

I'm typically more social when I'm sober as well, although I don't become introverted, I just end up being very cocky and occassionally an asshole when I'm drinking, so I tend to withdraw. |

I have a friend who becomes overly-introverted when he gets drunk. I don't think its too uncommon. |

Wait in line for 1-1/2 hour? Shit man, what kind of club is that?

alcohol amplifies both positive and negative emotions and can cause anxiety and depression. There is a possibility that it amplified your insecurities I try not to exceed my limit just so I can make complete sentences. :) |

Follow the Golden Rule. We all know alcohol impairs your abilities. Some more than others. Being a PUA is a head game. If you head isn't in the game then you aren't going to be worth much anyways. Same old beer commercial, Please Drink and Sarge Responsibly. LOL JSMOOTH |
