Ok so this is going to sound like I'm just being cocky, but it's a genuine question. Usually at least once a night a girl will walk up to me and say something like "You're the hottest guy in the bar" or "You're so cute", and I really don't know what the best way is to respond. Returning the compliment ("You're really hot too") really doesn't seem right. Is it best to just say thank you and change the subject? Any thoughts? |

Yes. Mere "Thank you" is usually the best answer for any kind of compliment. If I want to be a bit more cocky I'd say "Yes I know, thank you". Playfully of course. And then immediately change topic.
