I like being direct, if im at a bar i tell a girl i find her attractive, i dont like hiding behind false pretensions and so and so. I met a girl the other night and took her back to her place for a SNL, i thought we clicked and I genuinely liked her... So i told her a couple of days later. That was fucking dumb yea? I just like the idea of being able to be open and honest with a girl, but I think by telling her i like her it scared her off for some bullshit "you want what you cant have reason" thats bullshit because I couldve played the 'hard to get' guy etc etc. but just because i tried something knew of saying exactly what i felt i think its fucked it up with this girl from the kickoff. dammit whyyyyyyyyyy |

There's always the chance that she just didn't want a relationship. However, I find that the "will you be my girlfriend?" kind of stuff is very juvenile, just see each other often and start doing things a couple would do - things will fall into place. |

Being direct just means going up to a girl and being completely honest and upfront about why it is you're talking to her - because you find something about her attractive and want to get to know her. From that point, you still have to remain a challenge. It's not so much pretending to be unavailable or disinterested in her, but just having stuff going on in your life, and being somewhat aloof about things. Telling a girl about your feelings for her too early on will often just look like you've emotionally invested way too much too soon. It makes it difficult for you to continue to be a challenge, and can appear needy. => It's always best to treat the girl you REALLY like, in exactly the same way you treat the girl you don't really care that much about, because whoever cares the least holds the most power. |
