Met this girl back in late February. We hit it off right away and after a few days of back and forth flirty texting we met up for some drinks. Our first date went well. She works nights (at a bar) so we met for a few drinks before her shift. Everything went by the book, i told awesome dhv stories, I qualified her, I kino'd and ran some routines. The only thing I didn't do was k-close her (although we ended up arm in arm at the end of the night). We've both expressed interest in seeing each other again. However, due to our conflicting schedules (she works nights/I work days) it took 2-3 weeks before we were able to see each other again. So in the 3 months that I've known her, I've met up with her 3 times on short dates (drinks, coffee, lunch...less than 2 hours each time). Every time we've hung out, it goes great. Although since we've always hung out with time deadlines, I've had issues trying to escalate. Now in between our sparse meet ups, I've kept her interested via text/phone. Early in our interaction, I kept it very light with jokes and role plays (we're married/divorced, rob a bank together, etc). She usually ate it up and always played along. However, I've noticed as of late, these type of texts don't seem to be working as effectively as before. Our texts now usually consist of 'what's up/what are your plans for today' type of texts. That's how she usually initiates texts...and when I try to initiate using some random funny statement, she doesn't respond. Now she's told me she's interested in me and really wants to see me/misses me. She's invited me to visit her at work, she's also said she wants to introduce me to her friends. However, i'm starting to fear that we're losing our momentum (if it's not gone already). I also think that she may be getting frustrated at the fact that we're unable to meet up. In the past week, she's been initiating less and there's been more unanswered texts than normal. The last time we met up was 3 weeks ago. What's the best way to move forward with this? In situations where you know you won't see a girl for a while, do you try to keep her interest up via text/phone? Or do you just spread out your communication a little more so the text convos don't get stale? |

You may not even be doing anything wrong. It sounds like she possibly has met another guy that has caught her attention. Perhaps he has the advantage of being in a closer proximity and sees her more often. Try to set up a date, then guage her body language and interest levels. See if they've changed in any way. |

Hmm I was also thinking the same thing. Now say this is the case, what's the ideal way to handle competition? On one hand i'm thinking I can keep my frame, acting unphased and keep trying to move the relationship forward until she tells me otherwise (IE - not always look for a green light, but for the absence of a red light). On the other hand, i'm thinking if her interest is fading, there's no point in trying to change it. I'm thinking I can just freeze her out for a few weeks/months and try to re-engage her at a later time, when the other dude eventually blows himself out (this would prevent me from getting friend zoned). Thoughts? Opinions? |
