I just met a girl that I like and she likes me back. We've been texting non-stop, we live an 8 hour drive apart. The thing is that yesterday she told me, "Come on, stay up. Be a man." I said, "I am being a man and I'm going to sleep." The way I see it is that a man does what he wants and if a girl can't understand that I need sleep, then she does not care about me, but herself; she is egocentric. But then my father argued that, "These are situations where people sacrifice for each other, some people die over this kind of things." The truth is that I could of stayed up more if I wanted to, I wasn't passing out. It just seems that she's fallen for me harder than I have for her because I went to sleep thinking that I don't really need to talk to her anymore for now, might as well go to sleep. But I'm starting to think that maybe it's a pussy move, that I don't like this girl as much as she likes me and that I don't deserve her. Also, she tells me I sleep like a kid (since I go to bed at 9). The thing is that I work out a lot and I'm going to states, the strenuous training requires rest. I told her that and she said, "Clearly I'm not your first priority." I mean, this is some bullshit. I like this girl and even if she shuts up about it, she'll lose attraction for me and I don't know, find a guy who'd stay up for her. |

Texting someone "nonstop" and her being 8 hours away means you have no game. This girl is shit testing you all day long, and your answers are defensive and lacking any humor or cockiness. You shouldn't be chit chatting away with her on the phone. If she lived near you you should be taking her out on dates. I'm not sure what the meaning of your dad's comment was, but you shouldn't even be in this situation period. Long distance relationships this far apart can't even lift off the ground. This girl sounds like a nagger and terribly immature. If her interest level is a lot higher than yours she is probably easy to manipulate, but those kinds turn into clingers that won't let go. You would be doing yourself a favor to get rid of her now especially if you're having the feelings you are. |
