| Post subject: | Number Closing Problems |
Hey, Well, you never guess what? I tried to number close for the first time yesterday (A HB 7/8 who was 23) But there were a number of problems. When I got my phone out, as I am just seventeen (I lied to her I was eighteen, so she would hopefully consider talking to me for longer). So I began saying to her, "Since we aren't going to see each other again, is there any way we can keep in touch?". (Which seemed reasonable, I mean I wouldn't argue if I was her) Then she all of a sudden said, "You know there is a five year gap between us and plus, I'm not really comfortable talking with you, I've only known you for a bit". After this, I was F****D basically, I just didn't know what to say, and then when her stop arrived, she got off and waved. It was so annoying, and I know that I was probably young, but in her eyes she thought I was eighteen. Anyways, has anyone got any advice of how to overcome the initial rejection caused when trying to number close? Any help would be great Cheers Vay |

There is no 'initial rejection' when you number close. She turns you down, it means you screwed things up much earlier. There was nothing wrong with the way you number closed. There was something wrong with the entire or majority of the interaction you had with her. Not even the age mattered as much in fact. Think back on the interaction and try figuring out what you may have done wrong. |

I disagree somewhat with Little Panda. Maybe you didn't pass the physical attraction test, maybe she didn't like your voice or the way you moved your mouth when you talk, maybe she had had a bad day, maybe her dog died yesterday, maybe she just got out of a relationship, maybe you look like her brother. The point is sometimes I think no matter how much game you spit and tricks you pull out of the bag some girls are just not going to be into you for whatever reason. I always believed in the numbers game rule. If you lined up 100 girls to have sex with George Clooney I guarantee you some of them would have a problem with something about him. Try not to focus on what the reason could be. Many times the rejection may stem from something else other than just you and what you think you did wrong. The best thing you can do is to keep moving forward, studying material, number closing, and not take it personally. |

This is good. It means your learning so next time, this wont happen. This is the past most guys have trouble with. What I would have done next depends on the situation. I'm going to assume you only talked to her for around 5 minutes. 1) If you're at a party, just treat this like a game. In a game you can reset things if you mess up. It's pretty much the same in real life. Let's say that you totally fucked up the first five minutes. Just leave her. Then in about 30 minutes or so, just come back and talk to her. Talk to her as if you never met her before, so introduce yourself and all that jazz. She might be like, wtf, but seriously, if you get good at this, then you could turn a "fuck no" into a "hell yeah" by the end of the night. Reason why this works is because women follow their emotions more than logic. Their emotions change like a player changes hoes (Song). 2) After she said, Quote: "You know there is a five year gap between us and plus, I'm not really comfortable talking with you, I've only known you for a bit". Vay If she still refuses, then try getting a date with her. Believe it or not, getting dates are easier than getting numbers... For me at least. So next time, try getting an instant date. Ex: (After you've tried your witty banter) Her: I still don't think I should give you my number. Me: You know what? You're right. You shouldn't give your number out to a complete stranger. That's just be creepy. So let's go. Her: What? WHere? Me: I'm in the mood for some minigolf (or This coffee place has great coffee or something). Her: ... Me: You said we didn't know eachother well enough. Well, let's get to know eachother. (wink) See, just keep pusking forward. Oh also, one more thing. If she hasn't left the interaction, then the game's still on. If you and her are sitting at a table or standing near a founntain, and she is still there, it's still on. Girls don't hang around guys they aren't curious about. So only think you're fucked if she's leaving. |

If She's Older: • If your target says, "You are so young," this is an IOI. Don't excuse yourself for being young like chumps do—only someone trying to get the girl would do that. Simply reply cynically, "Yeah, I noticed... poor you." Remember to convey your playful teasing attitude. • "Take a quiet moment to get over this age thing. I'll wait." dunno if this would help |

Considering the fact that this was his first attempt to number close ever - the chances are higher that he in fact screwed things up during the interaction, rather than her having a 'bad day'. Try not to focus on what the reason could be. Many times the rejection may stem from something else other than just you and what you think you did wrong. The best thing you can do is to keep moving forward, studying material, number closing, and not take it personally. Also, it's always important to look back after you screwed up to see exactly what you did wrong and/or can improve. If you don't analyze and keep track of your progress, you will be stuck in whatever world you're living on for much longer than needed. Quote: She probably just thought you were some child. You do realize that 23 and 17 are like three worlds apart?
Even though this can play a huge role, she stated she was uncomfortable speaking to him because she barely knows him. I think the age difference is the least of his troubles in this situation.

Many girls in there 20s just arent attracted to teenagers, its a fact of life. I look young for my age and some girls are less attracted to me because of it, although many dont mind. solid game can help tho if ur young. |
