So I'm texting this girl at work who is leaving the country soon...thinking of getting something out of it before she does!

We've been texting and I've been texting, Cocky Funny, and negging her.

Then the below happens and I don't know what she's playing at:

--- All going well ---

ME: ... You're going to have to take me out and entertain me with your inappropriate dance moves

Her:Well it's not like I've not tried... there's only so many times I can get back from these knock downs you've been giving me ;) x

Me: You're doing well. Keep it up and who knows, you may get lucky ;)

Her: LOL you're so arrogant... I almost wish I could hate it xx

Me: But... you love it ;)

--- NOW I'm confused ---

Her: No havent seen him. Actually just massively horny for some reason. Must be the sun. What dates are you in London again lover? x

Her (10 seconds later) : Ohhhhhhhh snap - that'll teach me for sending too many texts at once. Please tell me you realised it wasn't for you and deleted it straight away without reading??!!!

Her (1 minute later) : How embarrassing.



I've not replied...I don't know HOW to reply - is she playing a game/shit testing me to get Higher Value? Or what?

I have to see her tomorrow morning (n about 12 hours) so quick responses really appreciated!!

I would say she meant to send you that text, because you were being arrogant, she might be trying to lower your value by sending you this text, trying to make you jealous. Me personally just wouldn't respond. i would just ignore it..

You guys rock! Thank you so much for the responses , now I feel much better about understanding this - it just sorta came out of nowhere and caught me off-guard!

I've not replied to her and I'm going to bed now, I shall see how she reacts tomorrow when I see her and if she brings it up (I won't)

Will update you after work tomorrow :)

ok so as promised update:

Not really as eventful as I thought it would be today - as I walked in she was at my desk talking to my friend who sits next to me and just got back from holiday, as soon as I say hi to them she goes

Her: "Oh God! I'm so sorry about my mis-directed text to you last night"

My friend: "what? What is it? Was it?"

Me: "..." - nothing, just a little smile

Her: "I'm really embarrassed"

Me: "ha, I need to get something to drink..." and I go to get one and leave them 2 alone.


when i come back she's gone. Later on in the day she IMs me saying "Are you feeling awkward about my misdirected text last night? It was sent to a girl"

I basically went for something like:

Me: " Not really, I actually kinda liked it, if anything I think it helped your cause.. ;)"

And yeah from there things seemed to go back to normal. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

okay you behaved well when you met her but the IM stuff....
I would have said something like that you didn't really care about that stuff with the message and haven't thought about it

but you could have done worse^^

EDIT: I just wanted to add something that came to my mind. I think he totally faked the message because she cares so much about if you red it and stuff. If it was real she wouldn't have said another word about it.

I completely agree I think this was a contrived shit test.

I've actually done stuff like this. I pocket dialed a married girl's brother a few months ago and was able to hang up before he answered. The chick used to give me major buying signals. I won't bang married chicks, so I went NC. I've been there and done that and would advise no one to go down that road.

After I pocket dialed him she called me within 2 minutes on her phone. She left a voicemail, but I continued the NC. I've been in NC over two years with her and her brothers.

About a week and a half later I concocted a text to her that read:

"Xxxxx(my name) wanted me to send a group text to those of you that have left voicemails on his phone. I am sending him his phone this morning. He should have it early next week."

I did this for a few reasons:

1) I wanted her to think my phone had either been stolen or lost and someone was making calls on it, and my friend had recovered it and was sending it to me.

2) There was a possibility I hadn't gotten her voicemail.

3) It was meant to confuse and deceive.

I found out a few weeks ago that she filed for divorce in late February. I have continued NC.

This isn't exactly like your situation, but it's similar. Chicks will do crazy shit like this. She made too big of a deal over it like the other poster said.

It's good you're reading the game like this.

Once again thank you All for your insights. I do appreciate it. To marquito42 - yes my IM response was shot but I couldn't think of anything else and I would've left it and came back to it later but I would've seen her before then - its not an overly large office :?

But your advice is noted and if something like this happens in future I'll be sure to remember it!

She seems keen when I said to her "it's ok but maybe next time, try directing it at me" her reply was "what you mean sexting? Bit that's just so frustrating"

Perfectly setting me up to ask "sexually?" heh. To be honest this entire thing could've gone better but I've a lot on my mind, I'm moving in a couple of weeks and "my shit aint together" so speak.

I think she did it on purpose, however not necessarily mean to lower your ignorance, because she didn't really need to mention the part she was massively horny. IMO, she did that to set a sexual frame without coming off as a slut. And her lover was to make you want her more.
I'd say you're pretty safe to go on massive sexual kino with her ! Be prepare to encounter some LMR when u guys are on the bed.
