Post subject:  Questions about general concepts

So I've been doing a lot of reading, and am trying to apply most of the things I've learned but it's harder than expected.

I do have some question or would like some clarification about general concepts that would make me look like an AFC or make me look confident. To each, I will add a situation that happened to me and how I reacted + how I think I should have reacted.

1 - In general, you should never answer by a question.
HB who just bought a house says: "You'll come to my place, bare chested just wearing shorts to mow my lawn!"
Me (looking cheerful and happy): "Do I look like someone who'd do that?"
-- I think I should have answered something along the lines: "Only if you give me a backrub in a monokini after"

2- When a girl brings up a topic while she seems interested, you should mention a future date/meet to do said thing instead of relating a past experience.
HB says: Oh horses, I want to go horseriding"
Me: "Oh yeah, I went horserinding while I was in France a few years back, it was awesome"
-- I think I should have simply answered with something like: "We should go together next week-end"
(I'll actually post a second one here cause I have this feeling that this is some place I really fail and would like to improve that one).
HB says:"I so want to travel"
Me: Can't remember but I say something about trips I did back in the days
-- Instead I should have said something like: "Hey! Once you're done with school, we should go to Italia!"

3 - In general, you should let her talk and reply with a comment that isn't self-centered (meaning it should be stating something about you)
I can't think of an example about this one, but I tend to talk a lot when we get into conversations. Plus I tend to reply to whatever with situations that pertains to me. I think this sounds like I'm trying to one-up her (whether it's the case or not).
-- Instead I should just reply either stating something about her/the situation and what I think about it, not put myself in the situation.

4 - If you screwed up in the past and the girls brings it up, you should agree but shouldn't provide a logic explanation (considering women and about emotions and not logic).
(Explaining the situation... I showed up at her workplace and she was really pissed off + I went totally AFC on her over there -- she actually dumped me the following day but we ended up meeting again 2 weeks later)
HB (looking kinda mad): "You should never show up to a girls place without calling."
Me: "I know." Then I proceeded to explain my thought process on how she flaked on me a few times and that I thought it would be a good idea to just show up so she wouldn't flake.
HB: Something along the lines of "Sorry I didn't want to flake, I had forgotten" but she seemed cool with it.
Little later...
HB: "Oh! BTW, never ever show up to a girls workplace... Ever!"
Me: "I know" (without anything following)
-- Now not sure how I should have reacted... I'm thinking of something like "I know, I'm sorry I didn't want to make you feel that way" (showing I care about her feelings without bringing logic in).

Pretty much what I can think of right now... so let me know if I grasped those concepts right (not how I reacted but more how I should have reacted). If not, what how can I improve.

#1 I like. This is a pretty good general rule. In my little war party we refer to your example as a girl initiating a role play. This is gold for my game because that role play can be led wherever I want it.

her: "You'll come to my place, bare chested just wearing shorts to mow my lawn!"
You: "Yes, and you can make fresh squeezed lemonade and wait on the porch wearing cut off jean shorts and an adorable Daisy Duke style top. That way when I am done I can rehydrate before we make out." (I would be a little slower with the sexual framing and let there be more back and forth but I don't want to write a novel here).

#2 For sure. Girls won't project themselves into your past because that would just be fucking weird... I use statements like this for role play as well. I like to be a little silly about it but keep seductive body language.

her: "Oh horses, I want to go horseriding"
me: "Let's do it. I can dress you up like a princess and I'll dress up like a knight. That way we can have an awesome story to tell that would make our friends totally jealous. "

#3 kind of. Sometimes you can pop yourself in there for DHV purposes. If you are catching keywords and relating to them then you are doing well. It builds connection and similarity. You don't want to sounds like a brag though. maybe 50/50 on this one.

#4 I agree that you shouldn't provide a logical explanation. This is a case where your reality just needs to be stronger than hers. In the examples you gave I feel like a little negging may have been called for... especially the second one.

HB (looking kinda mad): "You should never show up to a girls place without calling."

You: I was shouting my love for you from a mountain top earlier and I figured you heard me. Anyway, now that I am here why don't you throw something cute on so we can look good on our date.

HB: "Oh! BTW, never ever show up to a girls workplace... Ever!"

You: We aren't even engaged yet and you are already bossing me around.... I knew this whole marriage thing was a bad idea.

This kind of stuff has been game lately. I have been experimenting with just totally living in my own reality. It's been pretty successful for Kcloses and SNLs. A lot of the #closes have been flakes though. Still working on that.
