So, there's this single, girl I like. Of course. She's an English major like me, way into fashion and the same music I like. We're both pretty artsy people, and from what I can tell, she has the same goofy, random sense of humor as I do. And she's been generally receptive to me. She even once suggested to me that we watch 500 days of summer together (alone). We've even gone out to eat at this 24/7 diner. We were hanging out late playing games with her friends, and I suggested it, and she was happy to go alone with me. This past Thursday, I asked to hang out with her and have her come to my band practice on Friday. She was generally receptive until I texted her. I ended up telling her that she couldn't come because we weren't having practice. "Oh too bad, it sounded like it would've been fun..." Then I ask her to come with me to put up flyers for our show. She texts me, "I think I'm gonna stay in tonight." She had some angry status on her Facebook the other night, and apparently she's in a bad mood. The last thing I did was text her saying: "alright, was thinking of making up for yesterday. I'm going to a highlighter party after this, in case you decide not to turtle in tonight. Might take your mind off things." And I have not heard back from her since. What do I make of the situation? I've basically put the ball in her court, so I don't want to make anymore moves so I don't seem pushy. Did I do the right things? You think I have a chance to make something of it still, and if so, how? Any advice would be appreciated. |

I wouldn't overthink things. It sounds like you started off well and that she was into you. I'm an AFC but based on what I know, here's what I would do: Don't call or text to her for a few days. She could have just been having a bad day or something, but if you come off as too needy or clingy by contacting her again, it may turn her off. Hope this helps. |
