As suggested by the title of the topic you could only assume what I am going to ask? How can one be the centre of attention at a house party? Well my main reason for this is to land a HB10 whom I've been fairly flirty with and there is definitely a chance there. However, at a party last week with the same crowd I was cockblocked by another guy I know, quite the AMOG. I have to admit he is very much more alpha then I have been. After escalating to a good point, I leave her be to fill up a drink. I return 30 minutes later and they're making out right then and there.

Well back to the main point of this thread, I want to be the life and soul of the party, the guy everyone remembers thinking "man he was such a hero". Any tips for me on how to pull this or even just become more alpha at a house party situation? Cheers lads!

This guy walks up and gets a make out in 30 minutes after you leaving her? She sounds easy. All you had to do is isolate her and go for that make out.

The life of the party is usually the guy or gal who promises themselves to have the most fun. Which means not making the party about any one person or "girl". Making sure they interact with everyone. Start up drinking games or whatever fun things comes to mind.. However the life of the party usually isn't the one isolated in a room getting laid because they're too busy being the "life/soul" of the party(body). I find when I leave the group to go get laid while I'm the life of the party nothing is the same once I return to the group. However if you do decide to be the one to hold the party together you can get laid more at other times by multiple girls that went to that party later on during the week..

Figure out what you want.. To be the life or the guy getting laid for that night.

Something about that sounds extremely unhealthy... Whatever happened to flirting? Find a girl, approach and chat it up a bit, then let it get cold and talk to another girl. The point is not to stress it or try and nail one particular chick, because if you keep singling a person out from an entire crowd of people it looks obvious. Go up and talk to her for a bit then let it cool off. If she doesn't "find" you through the course of the night you can bump into her again and progress it where you want it to go.

You are entirely right. I should have just manned up and went for it rather then beating around the bush. Well I have a party with the same crowd tomorrow night and I wont make same mistake twice. Cheers Regardless of this problem sorted, I would still like to hear from anyone on how to be the "main attraction" at a party?

As some one who has had a ton of house parties especially if it is your parent's house, the key to pulling shit off at your own party is having people you trust with your life being able to keep an eye on your house so you can relax and enjoy it. My friends and I take turn to some extent with this(It is tough for my house since it is a beach house that belongs to extended family and I can no longer stay there if I get caught having people over)

Shoulda manned up and gone for it. If you let the convo trail off and just look at her and she's not breaking eye contact go for. The chick sounds easy enough, just get her alone and you'll be golden

You do not need to become "that guy". If you can give a girl 10-15 solid minutes of game, you'll do fine at parties. Stay mingling around and having this conversation over and over with women. Literally, the conversations are cookie cutter meeting women at parties. How's the party? Who are you with? Blah blah blah. I'd say these situations are where having good body language and eye contact as well as a commanding demeanor are very important compared to other areas of pick up. With alcohol and a crazy party environment, words wont impress as much so being assertive is important. Please. Do not become a tool that never knows when to shut the fuck up and is continually obnoxious and disregards others because it's "alpha". I might make a petition to have that word banished from this forum. If you're a guy with self respect, and show it by not tolerating anyone's bullshit, they are the guys that get laid. Give women a little more credit here. They may be women, but they can tell the difference between a confident man and one giving a performance.

That's not what the question asked though (even though it is, possibly, what the OP was alluding to). The question was; 'how do you become the life and soul of the party?'
