I am sure this may have been done but if you meet a girl, known her for a while, get on well with one another BUT she hasnt mentioned she has a boyfriend or seeing someone (although you have a hunch she is) - DO YOU ask her if she is seeing someone? or has a boyfriend?

She hasnt said anything about seeing someone but im pretty sure she is.

I have NEVER asked a girl whether she has a boyfriend or seeing someone, and dont intend to start but just want peoples opinions around asking her or why she wouldnt mention it

I never ask, I stopped doing that ~ 2 years ago when I figured out that this question is only something that matters to ME, I'd only ask to release ME from jealousy. For her it's just a DLV, and therefore not something we want to do :)

never ask, but if u want a way to find out
You: 'how does your boyfriend put up with u?'
HB: 'i dont have a boyfriend'

I know never ask and as mentioned I never have - its upto them to tell me.

What I dont want is to kinda "waste' my time or look like a fool by asking them out and them saying no they cant or any other excuse. I like honesty.

Girl: "Am I going to have a problem with you, Mr. Bond?"

James Bond: "No, don't worry, you're not my type."

Girl: "Smart?"

James Bond: "Single."

You can ask if you want. It's only a DLV if you seem too attached to the answer or if you make too big of a deal out of asking it. Just slip it into conversation naturally if you want to know. It' s only awkward because you are making it awkward. Same thing goes for asking her out. If you make a big deal out of asking her out and she says "no", it's awkward. But if you casually ask her out like it's no big deal, it's also no big deal if she says no. So just don't worry some much about the content of what you say, so much as your demeanor as you say it. Stay cool, calm, and relaxed.
