if you want to lock in someone the best bet is to let her hold something you have. for example
-putting your hat on her head, she cant leave cuz she has your hat
-putting your scarf on her, she can leave cuz she has your scarf
-doing the pictures routine where you give your target pictures of yourself conveying dhv, while talking to another girl in a set. target cant leave, cuz she got your pictures

that Gangsta-pick up stuff is just crap :P

the way I do it mostly is in a playful and cocky kinda way.
So let's say I opened a two-set sitting at the bar I could ask her if she believes in palm-reading, make her stand up, say something like you will be hit by a bus, give her a spin and sit down on her chair. Do it with a smile and they will laugh.
I think I have seen this method somewhere so credits to somebody, but it actually works.

Other way to Lock-In is if you are talking to them in the middle of the room you could just offer to sit down somewhere. It's that easy
