Post subject:  Problems

Hey guys I'm new to this whole picking up girls thing. im 16 years old.

I've had problems in social situations since I was very young. I have this disablilty called aspergers syndrome which basically means I have a real hard time conveying or reading body language ( from what ive heard this is crutial to picking up women.

In recent times Ive forced myself to become more social and im improving.

The one thing about me is that i never give up so do you guys have any pointers for me.

I plan to meet girls in a mall setting as the mall i'm by is crawling with hotties.

and on a side note do you guys know any ways to start coversations keep them interesting and any comments to make if you approach a girl and she kind of ignores you to get her atention back and help her change her mind about you.

thanks: joe

Hey buddy, personally for your situation I would work with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist specializing in social skills or Aspergers.

There are different branches of psychology, the branch of therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been shown countless, countless times to improve the overall social skills of those with Aspergers. I mean they are overwhelmingly successful with reaching your social goals.

The best way to find a Cognitive Behavioral therapist in your area, is to Google The Academy of Cognitive Therapy. There you can find a link where you can put in your zip code and find all the nearest Cognitive Behavioral therapists in your area. Depending on where you live, it can be a little bit pricey. However if you have insurance, insurance will definitely cover this therapy. Generally insurance does not cover therapy but because Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is so reputable they generally include it in coverage.

The reason I recommend this route, is because my sister works extensively with children with Aspergers as a teacher. As I'm sure you know, there are different degrees of severity when it comes Aspergers. Judging from the way you write you sound like are on the more moderate to mild area of the spectrum--I can read a sense of enthusiasm in your writing, which is good because enthusiasm is emotion.

Regardless, you know you have difficulty reading social cues and body language. Also, you convey a strong sense of determination which is admirable. I just want to make sure you have the best experience, the best training, and the best overall results for your strong and determined efforts. Even the best boxer or mixed-martial artist needs the best trainer on board to get them to be a prize winning fighter. A Cognitive Behavioral therapist will be able to provide you with the best training

Finally, I'll be completely honest. I have nephews who are in their teens and from all they tell me, the teenage years are the bitchiest years for women. I mean from my personal experience the older a women is the more understanding she becomes. However, teenage girls are freakin' ruthless. In addition to being ruthless, they talk and talk and talk to everyone. Consequently, if you come across incorrectly to the wrong teenage girl that could potentially mean you will have to hold off dating until college; she will tell all the other girls, and they will all be bitchy towards you.

It's not fair but again life is not fair. So, I want to prevent this from happening to you. The best way to prevent this from happening to you is if you have a really good Cognitive Behavioral Therapist in your corner. They will give you assignments to practice your skills, they may offer some good reading material to enhance skills, and when the time comes they will be the best at offering support in achieving your goals.

Okay I maybe I exaggerated on my aspergers.

I graduated from my cognative behavioral therapist a few years back.

I have extremely mild aspergers but it can still be an issue at times.

Somtimes I say the wrong thing at the wrong time and only after the situation I look back and realize, "why the hell did I just do that"

I dont think the cognative behavioral therapist is what I need and im pretty good at socializing with other males its just women are different then that.

I just need coversation starters and comebacks if a girl rejects you.

I really appreciate your imput though.
