Post subject:  How do I respond?

Ok guys, so I have a "different" situation with a girl. I have her in two of my classes, in one, she sits two seats in front of me, and in the other, she sits right next to me. We haven't talked much, but we do once in a while. She knows that I used to like her (I think she things that I got over her, etc).

Here's a convo we had throught Facebook Messaging:

(Btw, the line I underlined in orange is something I'm wondering about. Should I have said it? I felt as if she would think, "why is he telling me that?", so I tried to play it off by saying what I said, but now it just looks strange to me when I read it over.

So my question is, what should should I say/do next (especially in regards to replying to her last sent message)? We have school on Monday (we're seniors in high school).

No, you shouldn't have said that at all. It makes you come off as seeking approval and it just adds useless text to what your goal is. And plus, that part where you said you don't like summer and you got a lot of idle time is basically saying you have a boring life, ALWAYS keep it positive man! I would of said, "Summer is right around the corner, it's gonna be a blast. I'm going to Tahiti to do the limbo, you should too." See how it adds to the fun? It's an exaggeration but it's fun. And any girl whose like, "Uhh ok." doesn't know how to have fun. I personally like girls that can joke, etc. Screw the boring ones.

Ok now after her last message, I would say: "Sounds like you're most likely to be in the design field." Then that will grab her attention and she'll ask why. Then I would say, "Anyone who gets terrorized that much is obviously cute. Good luck though, it was a pleasure talking to ya = )"

Then she'll think, "Wait a minute. He said I'm cute and now he acts as if he doesn't want to do anything else? I need to know more about this guy."

Interesting, but how does being in the design field relate with being cute? haha

chris is right, you come off too serious through this conversation. lighten the tone next time, gloss over the problem bullshit she is talking about and go on to the fun stuff you're all about, she'll want more!
Remember, If she wants you to be that guy whos shoulder she can cry on you will either be her boyfriend already or get ljbf'd.

And to answer why does it make her cute? it doesnt, you're playing here, youre giving her a compliment, cheering her up and also distancing yourself. Classic push-pull. As chris says she will want to know why youre saying that and then just moving off...
she may or may not be cute, whats important is that you make her feel a bit confused and interested... which you will.
