I'm glad you opened this thread even though the title lacks a bit of creativity. But heres the deal I'm 17, never had a kiss, barely some hugs so I really do lack DHV storys . I live in a small community and
I'm excruciatingly, astronomicly afraid of opening. I lack friends (I have a fine bit in school but not anyone that would hang out, outside of school) but I have always been the class clown, so my humor has always shielded me and made people think my social status is higher than it is and in some cases people envy my courage to yell out a joke infront of a whole room of people.
But when I try to open without alchohol I get struck by huge approach anxiety, I get filled up with anxious thoughts like "what if they find out I'm doing a routine, what if they realize that I made up the question I'm asking and so on and so forth.

Any words of wisdom?

Don't use routines. Just be natural. You don't need DHV stories.

A simple "hi" works wonders. I can tell if a girl is into me right away just by saying hi. Use your natural humour to your advantage during mid-game.

I suffered from a deal of anxiety growing up. A lot of people get anxious in situations that are new to them. You just need experience, don't let stuff paralyze you. Practice talking to strangers, guys or girls whenever you get a chance, be it a cashier somewhere or whatever.. whether you have a real interest in a chick or not. You will get better over time, you just gotta do it. In my opinion high schools one of the best times to practice (for a highschooler, not me  ) . Ask a chick how her weekend was... i dunno. High school chicks aren't nearly experienced at having guys hit on them to and most of the guys lack the skills themselves. Back in highschool I remember a girl might talk to me or pass me a note that I don't even know whether innocent talking or not. Well it might not be that way forever... they get a little older and exposed to more guys and they suddenly expect guys to always make the first move...with some exceptions.
