I dont know why, but i get really jealous (dont worry, i never show it) when my girlfriend finds other guys hilarious.

She finds me funny, but laughs at other guys jokes (one guy in particular) way more than mine. Does that mean anything bad? Like, that shed rather him?
This guy sends her funny links on facebook and she comments stuff like "Thats the funniest thing ive ever seen i have never laughed more in my life!"

gah i feel pathetic, but it does actually get to me and make me feel like im not the best man in her life lol.

a) Is my behavior completely not-normal and overly paranoid?
b) Is her behavior a sign that she would rather be with someone else?

This is the one big thing in the relationship that makes me feel insecure.

this is a very good question.

i was in a relationship with a girl who did stuff like that all the time. it's a subtle line.

if whatever that guy posted is GENUINELY the funniest fucking thing on earth, then it warrants a comment like "that is the most hilarious thing i've ever heard, ever, ever, evarrrrr!"

if, however, whatever he posts is not INSANELY HILARIOUS, then she is flirting with him. or trying to make you jealous.

I know exactly where you are mate, i've been there too.

Most obviously you are dealing with a girl which is quite young and is seeking attention/validation.

She does this because:

(i) She likes attention from other dudes, whether or not she likes him. She likes to validate her ego.

(ii) She plays the bitch: If you would be the 'random' guy she would laugh and tell that too. But because you are already taken for granted, she will not laugh as hard.

(iii) She does it on purpose to make you jealous

(iv) She genuingly finds it very funny; which shouldn't even bother you. Some girls USE guys to have fun with, and USE others to be in the LTR (comfort). However, those girls are in most cases a no-go.

All motives aren't mutualy exlusive.

The bottom line is that this shit isn't really what you expect from a mature girlfriend. And for me it is kind of a red flag. Because none of those reasons i typed above you would like.

I think, she just wants to make you jealous, to test you, when you'll freak out, nothing serious tough, because if this thing is happening on FB it is so obvious, everyone can see it, even you.
I don't think that she's really cheating on you or something like that. You don't post cheating on FB, except if you really really want to end relationship.

i dated a girl who would say things to her other facebook guy friends like "if i only lived half a world away, maybe in another life"

then when i was like "what the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

she would be like "oh, we just joke like that. he lives half a world away. we just joke like that."

of course, in retrospect, it was totally to make me jealous, cuz...you know...fucking manipulating people is a great way to ensure long term commitment. :roll:

personally, i've had enough of the stupid fucking games for a lifetime.

those OVER-THE-TOP reactions, that your girl gives to another guy are ALWAYS intended to make you jealous.

these include things like:

- oh my god, you are the funniest person on earth, living or dead (as opposed to: haha, that is funny)

- wow, omg, i could hardly recognize you with that new haircut, you look so great! (as opposed to: nice haircut, looks good

- you are so deep, people rarely have such a great outlook as yours, very admirable qualities, ANY girl would be LUCKY to have you (as opposed to: great point, you're a good guy)

see my point?

anytime your woman is THEATRICALLY heaping on the AFFECTION or ADORATION to some other male, you can rest assured that she either:

A. wants to fuck him

or

B. wants to fuck with your head

at that point, it's no longer about IS she doing it, because you know she is, the question instead becomes how are you going to be affected by her games and how will you respond.

Cause i've been twice with kind of girls who do this shit. Any motive behind it does NO good.

Of course there's no need to generalize, but my experience tells me its a red flag and you better watch out.
