Post subject:  Tips for getting a girl through instrument lessons?

A girl and I are friends (she's an HB8) and I offered her piano lessons for free.

Anyone have any tips on how to escalate things? I already touch her just a bit (putting her hand in the right position, fixing her posture), I've talked to her about my love for the instrument (demonstrating value/passion), and played for her (which made her cry! [in a good way].)

So...where can I go from here? Classes are weekly. I have just gotten out of a relationship (and she knows that) so I want to escalate without making her feel like a rebound or anything like that. I was thinking of watching a movie related to the piano with her, but I think that it would have to come later due to the whole "oh-he-just-wants-to-get-with-me-because-he-just-got-out-of-a-relationship."

In other words, I'd like to know how to build attraction and then swoop in.

Thanks!

Huge opportunity for Kino - put your hands over hers and move them as you play. This could create a HUGE connection between you two.

Also, I assume you'll be sitting close together which will produce some intense eye contact.

Have fun with it - it's a great situation.

Thanks for the reply! Anyone have anything more specific, from personal experience?

Well, that sucks. Read up on the "Friend Zone".

And this is the type of shit that brought you to the LJBF in the first place.

This is a tough call. It's a line between her admiration of your professionalism and her lust for the passionate guy. As for me, I'd go with the power of music and play a jingle for her and then make out with her. Another way to do it would be to raise her emotions, then request a day 2.

ZZzzzz . . . how is this different from a girl talking to you about her passion for knitting?

Yes! This is good!

This is 'grew up on a corn farm' corny. Think about a 'fisherman' taking a girl to see a fishing movie or an investment banker taking a girl to see a movie about Wall Street. This is BLAAAAH! Relax, you're not just the piano man . . .
