| Post subject: | Becoming a "PUA" Question |
Hey, So, I've been getting into the world of PUAs and such, but I'm sort of lost. I've bought nearly all the books, committed myself to going out each Friday and practicing openers on strange women, and reading articles online whenever I can. However, I feel like I'm just fluttering about around all this stuff without any real structure. I don't know any successful PUAs in person (or any PUA for that matter), and I don't have the money to go to the seminars out there, so I'm kind of stuck. I feel as if I can only go so far. My question to those successful PUAs out there that haven't had any real-life professional help is how did you get from an AFC to a PUA relying on your own methods? What did you do to get to where you are all by yourself? Did you have any sort of structure? Any help would be immensely appreciated! |

I didnt rely on my own method;I started just like you did. Bought & read the Art of Seduction(Robert Green),but couldnt apply what I learned. Discovered the community online and started reading online-seduction articles & newsletters from many PU websites. Years later,Im now solid at what I do. Still have PU issues but you cant be perfect. So basically,my greatest learning tool was reading online articles by the gurus:TD,Swingcat,Gambler,AFC Adam,Juggler,John Alexander,Don Perrizon,In10se,Mystery,David Shade,Mehow, etc. List goes on into tomorrow. |

1. Put the books away 2. Don't have a set day/time when it's ok to talk to women. Go out EVERY DAY with the goal of being SOCIAL, having FUN with people and giving value to the world. If you see a hot girl in the street, on the subway, in a cafe, go up to her and tell her that you noticed her as you were walking past, you think she looks amazing and you had to come talk to her 3. You goal isn't to become a PUA. Your goal is to become a better PERSON overall. The more interests you cultivate OUTSIDE of PU (martial arts, dance, massage, music, etc.) the more attractive your life will be and the more easily women will be drawn to you naturally. Plus you'll actually have SHIT TO TALK ABOUT when it's time to go on a date! |

I agree with Blondguy, mostly on the key point of not aiming to becoming a PUA(solely),but a better social person overall. Im beyond the PUA hype. Im now solely focused on being a social machine. So social dynamics is what Im geared at. The moment you aim to become a PUA,it'll elude you. So aim at becoming(more)sociable. |

These guys are exactly right. Creating an identity as a PUA when you are learning is one of the worst things you can do and will actually slow your progression. It will only add stress and increase you’re frustration because you’re like I’m supposed to be this pua guy and read all this stuff and I am still having failures… Instead, set goals to be more social and fun and just enjoy the experience. Like these guys said, |

To better myself in PU I read newsletters, books, forum post after forum post and developed an image of the kind of person who I want to be. I saw myself with certain traits that I imaged would attract women and if they didn't I would change them up (GOALS) Now everyday I work on be the person I imagine myself being. Countering shit test after shit test until I get consisty. Being the most devilest asshole I can be. Saying shit that makes jaws drop. Try this out. |
