You're complimenting her before she's done anything to earn it. Giving her an unwarranted IOI is very AFC. The ball is in her court, she knows she doesn't have to work for you, you're no longer a challenge to her. Bad move in my opinion, and hard to tell where to come from here. I suppose you could follow it up with a message undoing your previous comment, something like your friend sent it, but you still think she might be cool enough to take out... but I dunno, that could backfire.

I messaged this girl on facebook, with a direct message and she responded with: "oh, thank you lol" Any advice i greatly appreciated. ps. the message was : "you are fucking beautiful... you look like someone I would want to get to know better =)"

you're lucky she replied. It's just a statement, what did you expect her to say? By all means give a compliment or do make a statement, but follow it up with a question. If you're friends with her on facebook you'll have ample info available on her profile to ask an interesting q

There is NOTHING wrong with opening directly like this, as long as you act congruent with it thereafter. I would say that such an opener works better in day game. On the net, girls often get messages saying "you're hot," so it's a lower percentage strategy. But, since she's replied, this means she LIKES YOU. Just do what you said you wanted to do. Find out stuff about her, ask her questions about herself, shoot out a little funny story out there, and after a bit of back and forth try and arrange a day 2 and exchange numbers.
