Hey folks, I'm kinda new around here and some of you may have seen a few of my posts so far. For years I'm 25 and have been battling depression for years, also after a bad breakup 4 months ago really hasnt helped. I'm over the breakup but I often still think of the relationship. I've been with other girls since then, sexually as well. I don't like going for professional help because it makes me feel weaker. I'm not doing to well with attracting women and I don't want to change my looks which possibly plays a big roll. Really though all I want at the moment is to just improve myself and my outlook on life. I've been laid off from work for almost 2 years now and have only had 1 job interview so yeah I just feel like I'm not accomplishing anything in life that should had been done a long time ago. I'm just looking for something to kinda uplift me and give me some sort of hope/inspiration. Maybe some of you guys can offer me some insight or maybe some good public speaking lecture on youtube. |

I just watched this a few days ago, it was posted on this forum. I thought it was excellent and may be something of interest to you. It's about a college professor who has terminal cancer. He goes over how he achieved some of his childhood dreams and the obstacles that were encountered throughout his life. Also, even though he had a short time left to live he still had an upbeat attitude and lifted people up with his story. Here's the URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo[/url] |

Yeah there's also a book called "The Last Lecture," by him, very inspirational. It's about a college professor who has terminal cancer.
