If at a bar by myself, it's obviously a bad idea to drink and drive. But with everyone around me drinking I'm left wondering does drinking non alcoholic beverages dlv me? Is there a way to fake drinking? I'd like to hear everyones thoughts on this. |

What are you, a man? You dont want to drink then dont drink. Nobody else should have a meaning about that and if they have, you should not care. Besides, you shouldnt be drinking and driving! secondly and above all, you shouldnt be drinking and doing PUA. who cares what other people think of you? Grow some balls, grab a coke and pick up a chick ciao |

Certainly not DLV; I've been told a few times by girls I'm gaming that they're impressed that I'm not drinking. Being sober allows to concentrate on your game, when you're drunk the girls can sense it, your game falls apart and you run the risk of looking like a creep with your crap sleazy game. Good luck anyways. |

Drink water. If they ask tell them you are between drinks. Which btw is a great way to not get trashed (beer, water, beer, water....) And for the comment that you shouldn't be drinking while PU? Why the hell not? I enjoy a drink, i'm drinking a glass of wine right now. I think people put too much effort into PU, this whole "sarging" thing is stupid. Go out have a good time with your friends and if you see an attractive girl use your knowledge and show her a good time. BTW, smart thinking on the not drinking and driving. I definitely don't do that any more. |

On drinking and drugs, I paraphrase Hunter S. Thompson: "I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for anyone else, but it worked for me." To paraphrase myself: "It's not Drunk Driving, it's Adventure Driving." EDIT: Before any uptight fags pile on me for that last part, shut up and go jack off or something because you're waaaaaaay too uptight. It isn't preferable, but it happens. I once booze cruised in a rural county's fire truck with the chief. |

I don't think that is a DLV. you have psychological obstacle of keeping into thinking that's a DLV, just get rid of your nagetive mind setting. your value stands on how you do everything rather than the thing itself. |

If you care about shit like that... THAT is a DLV! Honestly, you need to stop caring about stuff that doesnt matter, that leaves more time to figure out what really matters... |

No, its not a DLV. If a girl asks, you can actually turn it into a DHV by saying "Oh i would love to drink, but one of my friends broke up with his girlfriend, and am trying to help out here by driving him to clubs, perhaps he could find someone else" Ib |

Everyone listen up. The best path in life is as the Buddhists put it; the middle path. Fuck the getting drunk and fuck the "Oh no I'm staying sober." Neither is good. But what's true for sure is that alcohol has been a substance used for centuries, possibly millenia because it improves socializing between people. Let's not reinvent the fucking wheel here, go out and have a few drinks but for God's sake, don't get wasted. If you all think that staying sober is crucial to gaming and concentration, then you are all wrong. I'm not saying to get drunk, but by Jesus no one's going to the shooting range either. Just have fun and blend in. You can be a stand out guy in other ways but there are social norms that I think guys should just participate in so that way you obviously don't get called a pussy for not drinking and all that bullshit. Use your common sense, and do what's right and avoid what's not right. But I mean for some people, common sense isn't so common. There is a Chinese proverb, "The nail that sticks out the most is the one that gets hammered." What are we going to the bar for? To order water? Come on now. I'm not surprised that people think you're not a man for not drinking. It's just something that's not normal in a good way. If you want to be different, you can be abnormal IN good ways such as being the alpha male out of all the guys in that bar. Showing DHV does not mean that you don't care. You can run around cockslapping girls in the bar without caring and it still won't be a DHV. My point is that there are just things that are EXPECTED of you to do in order to display DHV. It's the way people see you, the way you display yourself. If people see you don't drink, they don't know that you're DHVing by not caring on the inside. They don't give a shit about that. All they see is a grown up man drinking water who came to the bar for child's play. Put yourself in OTHERS' shoes. You can DHV by not caring about the right things instead next time! |

Point is... You dont need excuses. As soon as you start explaining yourself you have lost...

I agree with taylormade's response. Unless you are an evident alcoholic, a drink or two isn't gonna destroy you. My life certainly isn't revolved around the act of sarging. Being ontop of your game is what's most important here. If you are a connoisseur of a tasty beverage as I am, you'll enjoy havin that drink.. and in turn will project your positive personality on to others. If you enjoy wearing top hats, then in turn.. you will be happier and others will feed off of that. It's really doin what is comfortable to YOU. Hence, don't do what others are doing because they're doing it. Then you will be an AFC. Some people shouldn't drink. Some people can. Control yourself (there's an idea). Women can pick up on that too. But to answer your question, a coke and a smile never hurt. |
