Post subject:  What WOuld You Do?

Hey guys,
This community has helped me a lot and things have been going pretty well lately. However, now I have a conundrum I am not sure how to handle.

This christmas my family invited my x gf (whom I dated for 5 years) over since they are not visiting their family this year for our huge party. I currently have a gf but believe I still have feelings for my ex. She has a bf and am not sure how exactly to handle the situation when I see my ex. I do not believe her bf is coming over. My gf and her family should be coming over, but not sure just yet.

This may be childish, however one person always wins the break up whereas the other person always lose. I want her know I won the breakup and things couldn't be better. I plan on being relaxed and elusive but not sure if this is the right play.

What would you guys do in this scenario? Would there be certain things you bring up/avoid or certain things you would do/not do?

Thanks for your help guys!

I'd just go according to plan ad invite you gf and ex. It doesn't have to be over complicated, but dont be super clingy to your girlfriend or try to over compensate because they'll BOTH figure out quickly why you're acting that way.

Stay cool at all times. Your with this girl now for a reason, dont give your ex any satisfaction. Especially if you have feelings for her. If down the road when you two are single again, get back in touch with her but go with the flow for now.

Dont be passive towards your ex either, talk to her like any other person there, but dont hang over her shoulder all night. Exchange some words and roll out. Only talk when you pretty much have to, and stay fun and happy like you should be. That's being in control of the situation. Trying to play favoritism between one or the other wont work.
