Post subject:  How embarrassing was this?
Went into town today and bought a copy of the much fabled The Game by Neil Strauss. Then went into cafe to read it and as I waited for my drink, the attractive girl behind the bar said to me "looking for tips?", I assumed she meant tips as in what customers give waitresses and the like a few coins to put in the box and as I put a few coppers in, she remarked that I had a copy of THAT book! :oops:

Great, now I bet she will laugh about it with the other hotties that work there and earmark me as the local wannabe PUA and any future visits shall never be the same.

It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal.

Take this from a guy who got drunk and thought a sink was a toilet at a party and took a dump in it, then started shouting for toilet paper as there was none 'left'. In 1000 years no one will care mate.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. So she saw you reading the book, who cares. Who the f*ck is she that you have to worry about her (or her friends) opinion?
It doesn't sound like she was giving you a hard time anyway, so relax. If anything, it sounds like you sparked her interest my friend.

It's not as embarrassing as you think, who cares if she knows you are going to be a pua, hell, turn it on her and say in a week il have your number and wink, make her laugh, shrug it off, it's no big deal.

Hey, don't build my hopes up and turn me into a cocky so and so!! :lol:

I am sure it is nothing but once again, I feel I should have made a witty comment back but kind of blushed and all I said was "Er, yeah." She asks "Isn't this the book by the guy who says he can get with any woman he likes?" and that "I've heard of it, everyone knows about The Game", all I closed off with was "well, I have read so much about it and wanted to see what the fuss was".

I am sure it is no big deal, just that I felt embarrassed and should have said more. But I still do not see how I could have sparked her interest?

Don't ever give a shit about embarrassment. I would have told her, "Well actually I'm more than a pro at this stuff, I'm just checking to see if the author is correct."

hehe this is funny. i read "the game" for the first time 2 weeks ago. funny thing is that since than im so excited about it, that if a i had a hot girl "catching" me read it will make it so much easier for me to talk to her, because we will talk about somthing im excited about.

You should have suggested that she goes and reads it too. The copy I'm reading actually belongs to my female housemate who said it was excellent and that I should read it!

This is a perfect example of how your perspective determines your reality. If you perceive her to be judging you a loser, then she will. You will communicate this frame to her in your body language, eye contact, tone of voice, everything.

If you perceive her to be looking for an excuse to talk to you, nervously sitting there hoping you'll make a move on her, she'll follow that lead. Women let men take the lead, and it's glorious if you have the stones to take it.

Wow u actually had the guts to read that thing in public. most people would be scared some1 they know would see them. haha

u coulda tried getting the girl at the bar, lol if u pretend ur a journalist or editor or something and ur just reviewing the book, haha i dont know something along those lines u get my drift

your all forgetting one very important fact gentlemen, some women love being gamed! even if they know where ther going they can still enjoy the journey, it makes it harder to run game but you can still muddle thru.

when i first got 'the game' 6 months ago i had an hb8 open me almost exactly the same way when i was reading on the plane just coming in to land going home from london bk to scotland, i had actually thought about opening her when we first got on the plane and were seated next to eachother but changed my mind and i got her number and fucked her 3 days later. it went a lil something like this folks.......(not word for word cos i cant remember but fairly accurate)

hb 'is that the book everyones talking about? with the guys that pull all the girls?'

me 'aye, its good like' (put my eyes down to the book and started reading again thinking 'aww fuck!')

hb 'why are you reading that?'

me 'just wondered what aww the fuss is about i suppose'

hb 'it must be good anyway, your nearly finished lol'

me 'well its funny anyway, they play a lot of mad wee games wi lassies and that, its crazy iv had plenty time to read it, been in london on business doin a course aww week, i hate london lol' (putting book down)

hb 'im sarah btw, i was down seeing my aunty, she lives ther, what do you work as?'

me 'im xxxx, i sell cars at the xxxxx dealership'

hb 'cool job, does the stuff in that book work?'

me 'it does for those guys anyway, i've never tried any of it tho lol' (a complete and utter lie, i'd started using the openers and games and negs a week or so before)

hb 'what games do they do?'

me 'wana try one? its called 5 lies and all you have to do is lie, im going to ask you 5 questions and you have to make sure your answers are all lies' (im starting to realise its on)

hh 'thats easy!'

me 'ok, if i win you have to buy me a drink sometime'

hb 'deal'

i got her on question 4, textbook

me 'so when can i expect my drink? lol. i cant take it tonight, iv got someone picking me up.'

hb 'me too'

me 'if you give me your number maybe this weekend?'

hb 'nae bother (handing me her phone with her number on screen)

me 'your really nice, its a pity your a blonde, i like brunnetes (smiling)'

then we jus talked about random boring shit(work, families, where we live) til it was time to get of plane, we hugged and i started texting her the next day. this was a very easy pick up and i didnt work it out til later that it was cos she wanted to be gamed! if a women mentions it to you the idea probably intrigues her and she wants to know more! if she thinks your a creep for reading it, she wont talk to you! simple as that boys!
