Im being serious. This probably is a visual into the minds of 98% of male/female interactions like this. We all have our insecurities. The only problem I have with the whole thing is that the faces reflect the feelings inside. We're all experts at hiding what were thinking and feelings from everyone else, thus why these thoughts are so difficult to understand when you look at the opposite sex. Most people that have any lack of self confidence think they and them alone have the issues. This picture shows just how in our own heads we really live in. |

This is pretty funny, and definitely true in that a smile from across the room from a girl is an IOI, and most guys tend to either not notice or do nothing about them. However, I think most people with some self-esteem will usually rationalise a little bit differently, i.e. the guy might say "oh I can't go over and talk to her now, it would be weird" i.e. blaming something outside of themselves for their failure to act, and she might say "oh I guess he's gay or I'm not his type or he's too much of a pussy" i.e. not blaming herself for being unattractive. But other than that, yes completely accurate. What can we learn from this? Go out and force IOIs (or just keep a lookout for them) from girls, hold eye contact, smile, and see if they smile back (or break eye contact downwards but blush or keep smiling or giggle). If they do, go up and just introduce yourself. Congrats, you've skipped attraction phase and can move right ahead with qualification, comfort and seduction. Pretty easy huh? |
