Was at a bar and cut in front of a girl that was an 8 or so to help my friend carry drinks. After I cut I said, "just kidding, i'm buying drinks while im up here." She responded with "for us?" and I said, "no of course not" and turned around. She mumbled something under her breath and I said ohhh c'mon say it to my face? You can't be that mad, do guys really buy you drinks that often? She responded with yes to which I said, well, tough luck. Thinking back on it I should of said "how bout you buy me a drink instead". But anyways... after I said this her friend next to me looks at me and calls me an asshole! I laughed at her and turned back around. I then went back to the target and introduced myself and went into a thumb war which she loved. But, as I continued to talk I just couldn't win the friend over that called me an asshole, which put a damper on the entire set so I excused myself. How should I handle these situations in the future, where I don't want to supplicate, but because it was so early on I had an uphill battle the rest of the time? |

I would have bought the rude one a drink and apologize. You wanna get her on your good side so she don't cock block. |

I'm not sure about that so will let a real PUA answer that.I would have said to her after they said that all the guys buy them drinks; "I'm not like all the other guys  "

(To target) OMG your friend is so adorable when she's all mad! Aw look at her (pointing and giggling whilst making eye contact with target and kinoing). I can see why you guys get on so well, it's like opposites you know, ying and yang, one of you is always happy and the other is mad. Ok dweedle dum and dweedle dee, so tell me HEY (to obstacle) NO don't smile you're RUINING IT - put on your serious face! [You could transition into Tyler's dressing one of them up as a devil and one as an angel routine if you like that kind of thing from here] Basically build the connection with the target and make it you two vs the obstacle for a while, whilst being funny and silly about it. Once the obstacle warms up a bit, you could even flip it and spend some time talking to her and say "actually maybe I was wrong, you're actually the fun one!" Making the target jealous and want to prove how she's the fun one
