Post subject:  Where do I start?

Alright, so I've decided to dedicate myself to improving my life.

I've never been good with girls, but honestly I've never tried, because i can also say I've never been rejected.

I'm 18 and in my first year of college.

I've learned that how shy I am is directly related to my confidence, which seems to be going up. And i've recently determined that i'm a pretty attractive guy. (although a bit skinny)

Things i do have going for me is that I'm funny and i have acrobatic skills, like flips and such, don't know if this actually helps but can't hurt lol
I also have a few themes of my own, such as Tuxedo T-shirts and Fluorescent Highlighter color clothing (ive been wearing bright colors like this for a long time, its not just for attention)

So the real question is, where do I start, should i learn routines, or just go into natural game? Inner game, outer game?

Any other tips would be great. Thanks :)

Here is my take on it...

It all starts with a decision. You need to truly decide that this has priority over your personal comfort. That is, you will keep going even if it becomes difficult.

The thing is, there is no good rule for what to learn first. There are different schools on that. Some say inner game, some say routines and some say that these two are both wrong.

What people all agree on though is that you need experience.

Try learning what gives you confidence to go out there and learn.

I would grab a couple of books on the subject, not the boring type that you find in your local bookstore written by some boring old man but real PUA literature written by real PUAs.

Decide which one you like and read.

While you do that, go out as much as possible and talk to people, be social, and above all, see all failures as lessons, not failures!

Very good advice, are you a moderator here?

Alright thanks, I've been reading around on the forums for a few days now and ive mostly been working on how to be alpha first because i figure once i get into that mindset with the confidence the other parts will follow naturally (still learning the techniques though of course)

Ive been working on my posture, attitude, and talking slower. I also have been trying the eye contact experiment that i saw mentioned, but so far it hasn't resulted in a hello unprompted by words.

Soon I plan on trying the newbie challenge, this hopefully will not be too hard as I've never had a problem talking to strangers before.

When I started, the first thing I started with was openers.

Once you see that opening does work, and you if you can project confidence while doing it, the rest comes pretty easy, you just have to learn how to close.

Also try reading the game. It'll change your life and inspire you even further.

Alright i will try to get that book as it seems to be highly recomended.

Starting with openers seems like a good way to boost confidence, which is important. i'll give that a go the rest of this week and next week :)
