Post subject:  noob looking for a change

I am new to the forum and the whole idea of being a "pick up artist", so I am trying to find the basics that will get me pointed in the right direction. Up until now I have always had the fear of rejection in all its forms. I can always find a reason not to approach a girl and they all seem valid in my own mind. I want to change that. I have read many articles by people who claim that doing "this" at the right time and saying "that" with the right facial expressions and body language will net you an unlimited bounty of girls

that sounds great but far fetched at this stage of my studies

in other words im not looking for techniques or canned game (i can read that on here), but rather inner game exercises and concepts that people have found to help them get over the mountain that is known as self-doubt and insecurity, which is what I believe holds me back. What I have in mind while writing this is a post I found on here that says to go to a mall and say "hi" to X amount of people, (which I intend to do) but I wanted to know if anyone else on here has a method of getting over AA and social anxiety in general, and any meditation or "preparation" methods that they have come across

I am totally and completely an AFC, but I know I can be more than that. I have what it takes and I know I have value, but theres a huge mental block thats keeping it all in and preventing me from the freedom that so many guys seem to have, I want to chip away at that block every day from here on out but I need your help! ANY advice is appreciated, even if its just pointing me to a post on this site!

thanks in advance!

People might say read some of Mystery's book or something but I personally recommend reading "David DeAngelo - Double Your Dating 2nd Edition". This book teaches you A LOT of important things that none of Mystery's teachings had. Trust me read this first

It also gets you into the right mindset.

Good man. You seem to know exactly what your problem is and what you want to fix. There's people that start off think a few canned openers will open the flood gates to women.

Like the above post, David DeAngelo is your best bet. At least to get you started.
