Im gonna be the one to kick this off? Oh well, here goes.

I dont really like just recommending someone just any old thing about PUA right away, only because there's alot of misconceptions when you first start getting the terminology and everything down.
Mainly, being a PUA (Pick Up Artist) is surprisingly ALOT more involved than simply being able to pick up women on the spot. Yes, that is the final result of learning techniques and the game behind it all but truly being good with women to the point of picking them up, having sex, building a strong relationship, and beyond does require guys to have strong understandings in certain areas of the Male-Female interactions.
For you guys starting out, I really do recommend picking up as much psychology knowledge as you can about BOTH men and women. To conquer the enemy, you first have to study them. It's really a great little tool to have beforehand if you can have a strong understanding about what's going on in a woman's mind before you even utilize anything a PUA has to offer. Women are all different in their preferences, but there are a few things that they ALL look for in a man. Having a strong grasp of these will go a long way. Some being off the top of my head:
- CONFIDENCE
- ATTRACTIVE LIFESTYLE
- SOCIAL VALUE
- PRE-SELECTION (By that I mean, having many girls interested in you. Making you the prize)
Notice, there is nothing there about being PHYSICALLY attractive? Thats simply because it's really not nearly as much of an issue as the media or other women blow it out of proportion. That's another big misconception about the game. There is no look requirement, there's guys that look like the Hunch Back of Notre Dame going out and being sexually active with women because they dont sit at home feeling sorry for themselves. They display all of the qualities shown above, and they've worked for it. Therefore, they're getting results. Getting women.
Be prepared to work too fellas. I suffered from this alot when I started out. I sat at home on my weekends and copied down notes from multiple PUA books and watched endless hours of all kinda of material. I wasted so much time doing this, before I knew it....I was studying PUA for nearly two months, and I had never even gone out to APPLY any of it! There was so much information in my mind when I decided to go out that I was more frozen in place than when I first started.
If you guys are at all hesitant about going up to women and starting conversations, it'd be very beneficial for you to look up the Svengali Method. It's very simple, it involves going out in public places, working on eye contact, and simply saying "hi" to, not just women, but everyone. Work on being a social person with everyone. Work on being the person EVERYONE likes. There's no way to go wrong that way, women will come to YOU.
Now, notice through all of this rambling, I haven't even broken the surface with any PUA material? There's alot to consider about all of this. I, personally, dont like the title of "PUA" because it's so much deeper than just women. It's all starts with yourself.
Im also gonna be a realist, when people first turn to PUA, they want more of a quick fix. A magic pill. Everyone has to learn the same way before they can really get involved in all of this, and that means usually with "canned openers". By canned openers, I mean, approaching either a woman by herself or a group of women, getting her/their attention and asking a question that you've made up beforehand for the purposes of starting a conversation with them.
For example:
"Hey guys, me and my friend were talking the other day about this girl that he's seeing. They're relationship is casual, but she texts him all of the time! He's getting a little tired of it. He was thinking of an easy way of telling her he needs his space. What would you guys do if you were him?"
Just thought that one up really quick, but thats the jist of a canned opener. It's meant to get the women talking. Then you use other verbal techniques to keep the conversation going and moving where you want it to. This style of PU is the most....dare I say, commercial? This style was made famous by Mystery, the Mystery Method.
Now, that's one of many styles PUA's use to pick up a woman. There are also more natural approaches. Approaches that rely alot more on UNDERSTANDING a woman and what she is looking for in a man. In this instance, I would look into material from a man named David DeAngelo. This guy focuses ALOT on Inner Game and Natural Game. There's others like Jon Sinn, David Wygant.
There's just....so much ground to cover guys. It's important for you to figure out yourselves, what you're looking for by picking up this Art.
If I could recommend anything for you guys to start off, pick up some psychology book and work on YOURSELVES. By this I mean, find material that focuses on working on your Inner Game. You'd be very surprised what you'd learn about yourself and what you've been doing right/wrong with women.
If you guys are just looking for a few pointers or tips when you're going out on a Friday or Saturday night, Mystery Method is a good thing to remember or Love Systems as well.
