Hey

I have played online poker for a living for the last 4 years, usually when im asked by a girl what I do I make up some other career because I find that it leads to awkward questions and I understand that to the general public it can seem like you are just gambling and being a degen.

So if you was in this situation would you tell the truth or make something up?

Is that how you make a living? then tell them. A question is only awkward when you think it is.

you: i do online poker for a living.
girl: what so you dont a have job?
You: I know i make money doing what i love its great! :D

just talk about why you enjoy it briefly and move on, leave it an open thread of conversation to go back to.

you: i do online poker for a living
Girl:what so you dont a have a job?
you: oh well, its just...well gee wilikers, i have a job but oh wait.

then it sounds like you arent proud of your job.

If its that big of a deal then change it but if youre happy with it, they will.

I wish I knew how to make a living out of playing poker, it sounds great! Not sure why you are embarrassed by it, but it seems like a good conversation starter

Your job is fucking awesome man what the hell are you talking about. You're like a risk taking rockstar gambler who's intelligent and knows how to read people's minds, who plays by his own rules and doesn't give a shit what other people think and you're willing to play around with thousands of dollars like it's nothing. Believe me, women find this VERY ATTRACTIVE. You do NOT have to lie about what you do, EVER, but ESPECIALLY in this case!
