So, a housemate, whom I have to live with for another nine months, has developed a crush on me. If she wasn't a housemate, I'd definitely be interested if it weren't for two other points: 1, She used to (sort of, briefly) go out with another housemate who's a great guy. He broke up with her, I believe, but still. 2, Barring exceptional circumstances, I won't sleep with a girl that a friend has slept with already. I just don't like the idea. I need a way to put her off, quickly, but without the potentially hurt feelings of telling her I'm not interested in her, and without having to change who I am. She's about a 7, and like I said in other circumstances I'd be interested because she also has a great personality, but as it is... advice would be appreciated. |

How much has she insinuated a romantic intererest with you? Has she actually expressed a romantic interest or is it hearsay? |

Well I can read the signs in any case, but here... not so much signs as great, big neon-lit billboards outside my window. Not literally, of course. It's implied, but very heavily. |

LJBF her. We always do our best to stop people from getting hurt, but in this case it's just damage control. There isn't much else you can do. |
