What is the true definition of one-itis? Many describe it as a sort of crush, infatuation, that happens without a true relationship. You begin to see some girl you know as some super awesome girl and start liking her, and then you obsess over getting her. How applicable is this to a broken up relationship? I often (not always, depends on my state of mind) see her as the one who can make me happiest. I also see myself as the one who can make her happiest. She has a new boyfriend but claims she is unsatisfied with the new relationship. I then tried to get closer to her but it was the wrong move (I was supposed to keep distancing myself until she felt jealous/attracted enough to come back to me) and now she's telling me to get over her etc. Does this fall under one-itis? I feel like getting hotter girls (extremely difficult to do for me; I am a virgin in my fourth year of college and have only had one real girlfriend, and she couldn't have sex with me due to a disorder, but I guess I just have to ASSUME that I can get laid with hot girls) might help me put it in perspective and find out that the feelings and love for her are not "real" and persistent. On the other hand maybe the feelings are real, and getting hotter girls would only decrease my chances of getting back with her. I know there's a general vibe around here that you should just make her as jealous as possible and she will come crying back, but some experienced friends seem to recommend otherwise. What are your opinions? |

I guess! Generally both people in a relationship will be affected from a breakup. Imagine having something there everyday and wether it is good or bad is irrelevant, it's gone - and something in your life is missing. So yeah, personally I definitely think if she sees you moving on shell question herself. Also it goes back to the basics of living an attractive lifestyle, having fun, being social etc - who doesn't want to e around happy cool people!! Hope this helps I'm sure heaps of the dudes on this forum have tons of advice for you! |
