| Post subject: | Trying to get my ex back |
Ok guys, I'm hoping someone here can help me out. My ex-girlfriend and I broke up around the beginning of July. I'll admit that it was my fault. I wasn't treating her well or making any effort to maintain the relationship. I eventually realized that I made a huge mistake, but by that time it was too late. She ended up dating another guy, and we stopped talking completely about one week into August. We fought, and things ended badly. I've been thinking about contacting her lately, but I didn't know how to approach this. To my surprise, she randomly called me earlier today and asked me to come over so we could talk. She said it was important. I went over to her place, and she explained that she didn't like how things ended and wanted to be friends. She said that she had been wanting to call me for a month. We talked for a few hours, and she told me that her and her boyfriend barely see each other. It doesn't sound like she's too into him, and she was definitely crazy about me for quite a while (she wanted to get engaged). I'm determined to get her back, and I know that it's possible in this case. The problem is that I kind of screwed up while we were talking. I've been reading these forums, and based on what I've read I figured that it would be best to act indifferent and to make it seem like I've been dating a lot and that plenty of girls have tried to get with me. I also told her that I've changed since we were together and that I realized where I went wrong, which is actually true. She said, "So you've changed, and now you're going to give it all to your next girlfriend." I agreed, and that made her really upset for the rest of the night. I only agreed because I knew that I couldn't just be upfront about this and say that I'm really planning to get back with her and that I want her to get rid of her boyfriend. Later on, her boyfriend called, and she talked to him in front of me. Then, she asked if it bothered me to hear her talking to him, and she admitted that she wanted it to. I pretended not to mind. After I left, we started texting, and I admitted that it does bother me that she has a boyfriend. She said, "As much as you don't want to see me with someone else, I don't want to see you with someone else either, so I don't know if we should be friends. So, at this point I really have no idea what to do. Acting disinterested and like I have plenty of options made things worse, but I also know that I can't chase her. Advice? |

There are 2 things you can do: 1)you are either going to her, then just kiss her, so that she will know your intentions, or 2) you count her to the past. When doing 1) you might get rejected, and you know it's over, or you have her back (small chance). When doing 2), you aknowledge that you messed up and you can't do anything about it, and you leave her behind and you move on with your life. You should read this: big-topic-about-curing-oneitis-vt74280.html?highlight= It's a topic about curing oneitis I made. It helps you getting over her. I advice you to read it at least. |
