for those of you that are curious what it is like let me draw you a picture from the girl's point of view....... 1)in few mins 20+ guys viewed my profile 2) got 5 msgs 3) 2 have favorited me i'll update this thread later, but i'm thinking right now of much more chance you have of getting a girl face to face then through this site |

i did that once. was averaging like 3 messages an hour, like 75% of them were subject "hi" or a variation. nearly all of them complimented looks immediately. there were a few "i'm rich, i'll give you money" things. one guy complained about no response. like 5 guys used copypasta from "The Game" the closest thing to interesting ended up being far too long and far too creepy |

okay heres a little update for those of you that are curious 1) msg'd a couple straight girls with 'Hi, ur cute' some responded to it. I asked them if they were 'open-minded' lol soo far 1 is 2) I would say in a day i get around 20 msgs randomly from guys. Out of all of them i would say that only about 10% were actually good openers. Here is what you should not do........... -Don't say you live by me, this is creepy -I know I am cute already so don't bother saying this. It is useless and does nothing -YOU MUST and I say this again 'YOU MUST BE FUNNY' I found this made me want to respond more -You have to take it one step further when relating your msg to a profile. For example if you see that a girl enjoys playing sports you might ask her 'Hey what sports do you like playing?' This is not enough because she will get 10 msgs exactly like this. Your question becomes generic and boring. -Do not try to initiate a chat right off the bat in the first msg. The girl knows nothing about you why would she want to potentially waste her time chatting uselessly. She may not want to give her contact away that easily. -You need to smile for your profile pic. I noticed that some guys take the baddass approach showing a mean face. This is no good and its kind of scary. It also makes it harder for you to show you are a nice guy. -No car pics please. i saw a few photos where the only thing I could see was a car. You might as well put a picture of a cartoon because the girl won't click it to see more. -don't just say 'hi' in a note. Again you need to show that your a funny guy. |

Your unanalyzed and hasty judgement must be the reason to your failures in life. There is a lot of things that can be learned from taking a look at the female point of view in case you are to unable to understand. I am comfortable with my sexuality to try this experiment. I've taken a lot from these forums and wish to contribute by doing something most guys would never think of doing. Theres nothing wrong with that is there? Perhaps you should try and contribute something rather than be a forum troll/leech? You would be muzzled for spreading negativity if it were up to me. Thanks and have a great day!

But you are a dude, and you give advice as you were a girl. For example you say "don't say i am cute, i know this already". But how do you know if women feel the same? Its YOU (A GUY) who describe your feelings under fake POF female username. Maybe a WOMAN will not feel the same way as you feel (as a MAN) and you only asume that woman will feel the same way? |

Sorry 'You're cute' line works? when does it ever work? If that line worked on women there would no need for pua. Don't try and argue facts just to stir up something. Simple compliments do not work period. |

Vibe: This is great...my degrees are in counseling and this experiment fascinates me a lot...I think I might try it... My wing always AI's me by saying, "he is doing a research project on the honesty of women....etc..." I have actually considered doing a formal study and it is ALWAYS a good opener...this would be a great way to get the woman's perspective a bit! Limiting, yes, but still good! Nice work, keep us updated! |

Captain's log star date.....jk Okay heres a few updates Out all the messages ive looked at so far which is around 50 plus only 2-3 were actually really good openers. I saw a few canned ones ex. 'can i get your opinion on something.....' had mystery written all over it. The most common one is 'hey hows your weekend going soo far?' saw a ton of these openers The worst is 'hi' in the subject and nothing else in the msg. This bi girl keeps msging, must be my pic /ignored I realized that talking about your interests to someone can be fun, but it can also be very boring. If you you play volleyball or do something 3-4 times a week do you want to discuss it for another2-3 days? that means you have vball in your head for a whole week with no break. The reason most girls want to date or meet someone is to do NEW things not things she already does. If your going to talk about an interest example 'sports' ....don't ask 'so you like vball or tennis?' but instead think big, extreme, dangerous ex. Skydiving, bungee jumping, hangliding, scubadiving stuff like that will get the girl interested. Similar to peacocking right? You need to stand out from the rest of the scrubs wearing the same clothes as each other. Hope this helps you guys out and stay tuned for more. |

Yeah, I have to agree... except that he got MOST of the things right, compared to everything else I've seen/heard.The only thing I think you're wrong about is the pictures. While you can easily see the volume and boringness of most messages, physical attraction is different and will be lost on you. OKCupid did a big study of peoples' responses to profiles based on the pics, and smiling was shown to get far fewer clicks than other faces. Not saying try to look mean, but I think the best response rates were to "action" shots where the guy was just doing something else and not smiling/posing for a camera. So I created a profile last night and have already received 30 e-mails...sheesh... I am actually using this as true research..... I put in the "summary" section, at the end "type blue in the e-mail subject line if you have read this far." So far, about 1/4th of the guys who have responded have that in the subject line...haha So, reading the profile and commenting on something in the profile will already put you above 75% of the guys...I had one guy say in the e-mail, "I really like what you had written in your summary, and DID NOT have "blue" in the subject line... I have literally only had maybe 1 e-mail that actually was kind of OK and interesting.... Funny shit! |

I thought PUA would be close to mainstream by now with all the movies, PUAs doing late shows and other tv shows. However, I realize that only 1 in maybe 20 guys actually have good game.

I think the main obstacle online, after doing this already, is just the inability for girls to really have TIME to write guys....with so many to choose from, I wish I had all these options...damn! |
