Disclaimer: New to the forums not to the game. From what I've read and experienced most new people tend to follow exactly the methods others use. They exactly mimic techniques that they have seen work for one person and then when they don't work for them they bash the PUA trade. For example after the show "The Pick Up Artist" aired on VH1 and America saw Mystery in his unique attire picking up girls non-stop. Next thing you know over half of the guys are dressing up in flamboyant hats and painting their nails black copying exactly what mystery says. This is what I consider being the method. There is only so much potential in copying what others do. When using methods don't take the approach that it works for them so it has to work for me. People are different. Everyone has their own personality for a reason. Picking girls up isn't math, 1+1 in Sarging doesn't always equal two. Sarging is a science and in science you learn to adapt our features to the circumstance. Mystery takes his methods and applies them to his personality and what works for him. To make myself clear I'm not refuting the use of trying others' methods. I'm presenting the idea that instead of copying the method analyze it. See why it worked for one and apply it to how it can work for you and your personality. Field test it and look for improvements. Maybe the opener for persona A worked, but for person B another opener may work better. Make the method become you, don't become the method. Hope this is helpful and post comments about what you think. |

Yes. It's all about being open and experiment. One may not like teases. Let's say he tried them few times and girls laugh, he'll think "hmm.. cool stuff" and from this point teases will be like breathing for him. While that said, one has to stick with a whole system. Inside that system it's cool to do the tweaking and fine tuning. You are 100% correct that there are many types of game and a guy has to choose something he'll be congruent with. It's unlikely to take a quiet & introvert piano player and make him the center of the party. Guess it will not be congruent with the identity and behavior he developed during his life. s-man PuaCottage - www.puacottage.com |
