Ever broken up with someone where the relationship wasn't all bad? Ever miss laying her down and fucking? Ever think about another guy taking her by the hand and leading her into his bed? Ever reflect on that guy plowing her with ecstasy and abandon?

How do you feel towards that guy? Now if you're a mature well adjusted person you're not going to punch him the face the next time you see him, it's not like you own her or have any real right to be pissed off, but if you're human and your self esteem isn't perfectly grounded part of you might want to. It'll grind you just a bit to see him, and maybe more than just a bit, if your ego is attached to the women you love and make love to. I can't speak for the gurus around these parts, but I'll admit that as much as I try to improve myself and find happiness and peace within, thinking about this kind of stuff still makes me feel like I'm being shanked.

Now that guy is your friend, someone you respect and care for, but at the same time whenever you look at him part of you is seeing him spanking your ex and pulling her hair and she's loving it. You just want to lift a pint and chat about old times, but try as you might you just can't live in that moment care free, he gets a call and goes outside to take it, you grip your glass just a little bit tighter and try not to be affected.

Don't be that friend man, there are plenty of women out there. If you get explicit permission, and you are certain that he's over her, and they weren't that close to begin with, in my opinion, even then don't do it.

Then again, my bros are my life, I would lay down in traffic for them, but you're not me and it's ultimately up to you.
