Post subject:  Making friends with alpha males

G'day, for some context, I'm 17 and in high school.

I'm getting heeeeaps better with talking to girls these days and attracting them, (lost my virginity this month :P) but I don't seem to be able to fit in with groups of tough, mate-y guys. Therefore I do best with girls outside school as my natural confidence among strangers shines through and I can impress them without the stigma of not "fitting in" the social ladder.

Basically, I find it hard to engage in the sort of banter and comfortable physicality which groups of jock guys have. I make really good friends with weaker and nerdier guys, but I want to be able to do this with the alphas as well as there are a lot of benefits with this like parties, introductions, social proof and all this...

I play in a footy team, and I find myself being silent when sitting around with them as they throw insults at each other and talk about people and events. I'm not great at footy, but I'm good at other sports and hobbies and I still can't seem to talk in the same style with those people. I'm not picked on usually, but it seems as though I don't connect with alpha males properly and it is awkward between us. Why is this?

What are some strategies you can use to fit in with bloke-y tough guys from meeting them to developing a friendship to having each other's backs?

I'm sure it's just like PUA - body language, tonality of voice, saying certain things, kino, but I can't work out the unspoken "Bro Code".

I don't know how well these alphas know you. But you could always pretend to be like them, copy their behaviour/actions. Just act like one of them, think of some funny jokes, learn improv? Or just talk about girls. You sound quite good with girls so maybe chat about that.
