My first advice will have to be to write messages with normal font size. :)

EDIT: I completely misunderstood your post, so I delete most of my reply to it.

However, 27 is young. You have plenty of time. I sincerely wish you the best of luck!

I don't know whether that was an ironic post or not, but just in case it was, I should point out the fact that I edited my post (possibly after you read it), as I answered completely the wrong question. However, my best whishes and my conviction that 27 is not too late were sincere. You're to be considered fresh on the singles market well past 35, so you have several years to go. Read up on "The Game" and find some inner-game threads on this forum, that's probably gonna get you started and well on your way.

Good luck!

No, the confusion was all on my part. Your question was perfectly understandable, I just read something else into it and answered it with an irrelevant reply. I apologize for that.

However, I'm 28 myself and starting to do pretty good in PU. Also, don't let language barriers hinder you - they may even serve as language advantages if you have the right frame, i.e. if you percieve your foreign accent as something to be proud of, and are quite confident in your view, women will buy into your reality and think so too. It's also a good conversation starter, they immediately have something to ask you about, and you can speak proudly of your origin.

Where are you from?

Glad if I can help. And you're absolutely right, most of the work has to be done with one self. What really got me started was not any routines that I learned from a book or a forum. They certainly do help as a starting point, which is why I recommend you read "The Game", but it all starts with you reallizing that you, yeah you, are an awesome guy.

You really are, man! Hey, you came all the way from the Phillipines with a culture and a way of life that's so different from what they've got there in Cali. You have so much to offer and so much to tell anyone who has the good taste to stop and have a conversation with you. You can tell people so much about how life is different in those two parts of the world, about what you've learnt from the experience of moving to Cali, how you experience the cultural shift from moving there.

And hey, those are just some of the things that I can come up with from the little things that I know about you. You can keep filling out that list for ages and ages, writing a whole book about what makes you interesting to other people. Do that. Maybe not a book, but start writing a list, fill in one more thing every day. As the list grows and you read through it at least once every week, you'll realize that you have so much going for you! It sounds like new age bull shit, but it actually works.

Don't do customized affirmations like "I can get any woman I like", "I'm a beautiful person" and other generic lines made up by someone else with anyone in mind. Think positive thoughts that you know are true, because you've written them in your list about yourself. You will remember them next time you're out.

Any time you're out meeting women (or anyone really), you will know what a wonderful person you are and that language is nothing but a slight detail which only makes you have to focus a little more in order to get your thoughts across. It has no bearing on who you are, and anyone who thinks differently, well they're not worth your consideration anyway.

Never make excuses. In doing so, you admit to both yourself and your conversation partner that there is something worth making excuses for, which there isn't. I learnt this idea from a friend in a context which had nothing to do directly with PU; my friend helped me prepare for a job interview. I was worried that I would get tough questions on why there was a blank spot in m resumé, as there was a period for 2 years where I had no activities (studies, work, anything). He said to not make any excuses about it, because that would make them think that I think of it as a problem. "Instead just tell them about all the awsome and interesting things that kept you busy, but didn't make the cut to your resumé", he said.

If you make no excuses for yourself, you're maintaining a strong frame and your conversation partner will buy into it. But in order to maintain that frame, you need to believe in it yourself, which is where inner game comes in.

Thank you, that really warms my soul to hear. I'm actually new to PU as well, so I don't really call myself a PUA so far, but I guess I'm a rapidly recovering AFC. :)

When I started doing PU I thought that it would help me get higher self esteem, and it did - but not in the way that I thought. Of course, getting laid every now and then certainly helps boost your confidence, but only on a shallow level and for short periods of time. What really helps is the kind of work it has you doing on realizing who you are and what makes you attractive to women. It even helps you in your interaction with friends, colleagues and family. It makes you better at job interviews and boosts your carreer. It builds your social network. And none of that is an effect of getting laid. It's an effect of you realizing that you are awsome.

I would love for you to tell us how you're doing. Please let me know of your progress, either in this thread or via PM.

Good luck, mate!

Your worry about your age is what's called a "limiting belief." Other limiting beliefs include "I'm too short / unattractive / poor, etc. to get women to like me."

The fact is, these beliefs are not true, and they are harmful to your self-esteem. The thing about beliefs is that you have the power to change yours whenever you want. If you believe you can succeed with women regardless of your age, height, weight or anything else then you WILL, if you go out in field and practice, be patient, and never give up.

Here are some things you can do right now to start improving your confidence, gaining a social circle and getting more women in your life right NOW.

1. You say you moved recently to a new city. This is a great opportunity! Take an hour or so every day, and more on weekends, to walk around your new city, around your neighbourhood, and talk to people. Ask them where you can get a really good coffee, where you can get your shirt tailored and your dry cleaning done for a good price, what the happening new bars and restaurants are at. These simple questions will help you to have an idea of things that are going on around your area. When it comes time to invite a girl out on a date, you will know stuff that's going on and be friends with some people in your area. Build relationships with people in your favourite cafes and bars, because women respond well if you can walk in with them and the staff know your name and are warm and friendly to you. This is part of raising your value with social proof.

2. Find an language centre and join an English class. Your english isn't bad but this will help it get really good and will also enable you to meet people like you who are living in a new city and are looking for new friends. You can make good social connections and probably meet some hot latina women! (if that's your thing...)

3. Read "The Game" by Niel Strauss.

4. Come back here, absorb more material, and let us know how you're doing!
