So I had been messaging this girl back and forth on okcupid.com and things were going well. We were joking around a lot and getting along well. Then all of a sudden she completely ignores me (even after I sent a follow-up message 3 weeks later). Did I give a bad response? Was she offended or something or did I say something to make her lose interest?

Anyway, your friend was probably successful with that girl because he didn’t type in the usual topic that guys do: “hay ur hot”, with the message being: “yea ur hot we should go out sumtime wuts ur number?” What’s the most ridiculous message that you’ve received on this site? I think one of the worst things a guy can do on dating websites is contuining to message a woman that’s ignoring him and begging her to reply. Stalker types. They’re even worse in real life. Personally, I wouldn’t mind if a really hot woman stalked me; I’d be kind of flattered actually. But I would mind very much if she were ugly. I’m so superficial, I know. How do you feel about that type of stuff? Would you enjoy it or be flattered if the hottest guy in the world stalked you or would you consider it creepy still?
Also, I think I have discovered a foolproof way to get people to message you back on okcupid. Send anyone you message a 1000 word essay on why they should date you. And why you think you’re meant to be together forever. And why you think they’re the one and that you’re in love with them. And ask for their phone number and address. That’ll be sure to get some responses. Definitely not any restraining orders, though. Let your guy friend know about this amazing method, have him try it out, and let me know how it works.
Fun fact: a woman has only messaged me once on this website. Stereotypical gender roles are annoying sometimes. You women just sit back while 50 guys a day send you messages. We have to do all the work.
p.s. I kinda feel weird sometimes saying woman instead of girl. I was just so used to calling all females girls for the longest time, haha. But now it’s kind of awkward calling females in their mid 20’s girls. Some guys say chicks, though; I don’t.
