I knew this was a shit test, but I still had no idea what to do with it. Any recommendations on what you would do here. This pretty much killed me for the convo.

This is why I'm largely against text game, fb gaming, etc. YOu cant convey tone or body language in typed sentences. In person you could have said that in a cocky/funny manner that would be easily recognized. all you have to do is add a smiley face and an lol to you're ego stroking comment and 90% of people will get the idea of what you're trying to say. That being said, you also don't know if she was joking around with you or not because written words dont carry tone of voice.

Honestly, I'd not think too far into it because its harder to interpret than if it was a spoken conversation.

Fuck it. I honestly wouldn't even worry about that being a test or anything of the sort. Like Z-Wrex said texts are very hard to read. For all you know, she was fucking with you as well.

I shot myself in the foot royally yesterday while texting. I came off as arrogant and cocky when I was trying to be playful. I can't comment on that conversation specifically, but I know I will avoid really amping anything up over computer/text if the girl isn't very familiar with my personality.
