| Post subject: | Aggressive Texting / Didn't Text Me Back? |
I started texting this girl recently. We've been talking for a while and she seems (or seemed) mildly interested. I wasn't getting anywhere with how I usually text girls, so I thought I'd change things up a bit and be a little more... aggressive. ME: How was your grandparents? HER: Aweeeesomee ME: Thats sick did they give you lots of money? It was fuckin crazy, amazing trip. HER: no , but they bought me my next photoshoot ME: Wow yeah those are expensive. Someone's spoiled HER: Not at alll ME: Haha good. I can't stand spoiled people. you should probably go to the gym with me if you want to get in shape. Haha it was a good weekend to say the least. From what I remember. HER: Ditto ! Haha maybee I will ME: Yeah i totally needed that. So is this photoshoot for victoria's secret? HER: I friggen wishhh ME: That'd be cool. I'm still working on that abercrombie model job... HER: I could totally hook you up with that too , like 100% legit . I can't do it till I'm 18 though ME: Haha i'm fine doing nude shit. Lol once you're 18 you're gonna do nude? Haha sick sara. HER: NO NO NO ME: Ha thanks for clearing that up pornstar. Maybe you should go on canadas next top model. HER: Shutup ;p haha I didn't even mean that . I have dignity thanks . I don't even like bikini shots ME: Lol sara sometimes you have to sacrifice your dignity do get what you want. You need to get an agent in toronto. HER: Well I'm keeping my clothes on , thank you very much ME: Aiming high, i like that. You're going places. Haha and good to know you're not a whore, I like a challenge. HER: I'd like to think so . ME: Good, Love a challenge cause i tend to get what i want,. I hope you like a challenge too, it won't be so easy for you either. HER: How ironic, so do I. If you haven't noticed, I've faced a crazy amount of challenges so far, and plan to face a million more. No sweat ME: Haha confident, i like that! We'll see how you do, i aint no whore. HER: I hope not . Cause then it's not even worth the fight . ME: Ha oh trust me its worth it. I just hope its worth it for me too. HER: Hahah where'd this sudden interest come from ? Or have I just been blind ? ME: Haha nah just trying something new. Changing it up a bit. HER: Haha , ohh .. I see . ? ME: Lol don't worry about it. Change is good. She didn't text me back after that last one. What'd I do wrong / what'd I do right? What would you have done differently? Thanks guys! |

I think you just set it up weird. 'oh you're a challenge I like that' 'im a challenge too' So now you're both trying to be a challenge? You're trying not to chase her, and she's trying to not chase you. Great. Someone needs to make a bold move... and it's not going to be her... |

Yeah, it got weird at a certain point. I liked how you were Cocky and Funny with it earlier on but things got way too serious and too the playfulness out of the whole interaction. I would have thrown in a comment about doing private nude modeling for you after she said Quote: HER: NO NO NO Razz ! I didn't mean it like that !! Lmfao, holy moly . But I meant like , if I get hollister or abercrombie . Hehehe , oh man Razz
In a funny non-chalant kind of way, of course. It shows you think of her that way. The conversation was about modeling and being nude but there wasnt any real sexuality injected into any of it, and you ran for the end zone all of a sudden and it took her off guard. You said some clever things which were pretty cool, but you just got too serious too quick. It's also important to cut these convos short, I usually never keep a conversation going this long unless things get intense. A good place to cut it would have been after the "I hope to be discovered before then" comment. Breaks in the conversation drive them nuts. |

Wow, my first thoughts were ...Geez that's a heck of a lot of texting! I tend to see texting as more of a tool for organizing dates and meet ups rather than for having long drawn out conversations. I tend to get bored of texting very quickly, and likewise, i would imagine girls would get bored and annoyed at me if i just keep on sending messages. After all, it takes up her precious time to send a message back to you, and you don't yet know how much time she is happy to invest in you. I think it's good to show a bit of non-neediness. Also, you don't have to come back with a witty reply to every message she sends you. This can easily be over done. Infact, some messages aren't even worthy of a reply! I do like the aggressive/playful/confident style you had there, and she did respond well, but i would have left it at Quote: HER: I friggen wishhh
She hasn't really given you much here and it doesn't need a reply. She has given u a fairly good response before hand and is enjoying your attention so she will still think of you and maybe hope for a reply when you take your attention away from her.Your not being an arsehole or playing games because frankly her message didn't need replying to. You can then try again in a few days and go for the meet up. Sometimes less is more. Just my opinion and how i do it. wowo |

I agree with most of the other posters itt. The first half was pretty good, then you made it weird. The first line I thought was kinda creepy was this one: Quote: ME: Lol sara sometimes you have to sacrifice your dignity do get what you want. You need to get an agent in toronto.
Everything above that was pretty good. If I really had to nitpick, I'd say you missed a few chances to make it more sexually playful early on. Like when you said "you should probably go to the gym with me if you want to get in shape", it might have been better to say something along the lines of "if you need help getting in better shape, I'm sure I can give you a good workout". One of my favorite techniques is to say things that have slightly sexual overtones and then, when the girl comments on it, call her out for being creepy, having her mind in the gutter, constantly trying to use me for sex, etc.You definitely did some good things, too. I personally wouldn't have used the "you're spoiled" line, but at least you put the emoticon in there to make it completely obvious that you were joking. That's one of those minor but important things. I also really liked how you flipped the part about her turning 18 and then doing naked modeling. Pretty solid cocky/funny stuff for the first half... HOWEVER the second half of this conversation was lolbad. Creepy, not funny, and downright weird at different times. And labeling yourself as a challenge was pretty lame. SHOW her that you're a challenge by the way you carry yourself and let her figure that out herself. I wouldn't say you're blown out by any means. If you don't hear from her in a day or two, reinitiate with something funny and keep the conversation light with the occasional sexual overtones. |

After all, it takes up her precious time to send a message back to you, and you don't yet know how much time she is happy to invest in you. I guess it would depend on what you mean by "long drawn out conversations". If you're sitting there texting back and forth for hours on end nonstop, then I agree. But that's not how you should be doing it. I meet a lot of my women online and I rely heavily on texting to build comfort and transition from online to meetup. Also, I work a job where I can text somewhat freely, so sometimes I'll get a girls number and text her all day while at work. By that I mean once every half hour to an hour or so. I think girls love to get texts. Especially ones from cool guys that they are interested in. I mean, if you text her boring shit like "hey whats up?" then she will get annoyed and probably not respond. Which brings me to my next point. You don't really need to worry about her getting annoyed and wasting her time, because she just won't respond if she's not interested. Most girls quite simply wont have a long conversation like the one Sara did here with our hero if they're not at least a little interested. So you can view her returning your texts as little mini-IOIs. Quote:
