The points aren't so useful, as what counts* most is the number of votes next to someone's name (and whether or not they're positive or negative).
*Doesn't actually matter, just because someone has a lot of votes, doesn't mean their advice is always good/right.
Listen to yourself first, if what you read/hear doesn't sound right to YOU, then leave it. If it sounds useful, use it. That beign said, don't come with a full cup.
