OK so i generally dress will well fitted clothes, i make sure stuff is matching and have a few accessory such as bracelets and necklaces. Although Peacocking interst me alot, so today I bought a fluffy scarf (similar to the one mystery gives Matt in 'the pick up artist') it was very cheap, but thought i would try it with that. I have not worn it yet, but two females have seen it and literally said 'wtf' you would look gay if you wore that.

What do you guys think of tihs? i mean i know the point of Peacocking is so that it brings attention to yourself, and can be great in convo, or even to start a convo. Has anyone else here had any trouble with items such as this? Is there anything you wear on occasion?

IM kinda nervous to wear this scarf now. haha thanks.

I don't get peacocking. It just makes you look gay imo. I wear a signet ring, and that's usually enough to start a conversation. Screw the fluffy tophats.

Peacocking is not the art of dressing well. That's style.

Peacocking is the art of getting noticed. Even if people think you look gay, at least you are on their radar.

Try it out. What's the worst that could happen? Anything worn in confidence is sexy.

Mytery describes peacocking as wearing at least one interesting item.

So you're allready doing it.0
People constantly say that peacocking is ridiculous because they think it's dressing like Mystery...
He says it himself if your gonna stand in the corner it will make you look like a freak but if you own the room (or at least a couple of sets) it will definatly make people notice you A LOT more.
I'm not too good looking but since if started dressing more fashionable and often time peacock quite extensively i get checked out by lots of girls :) still working on the courage to approach them though xD

I don't feel the need to peacock. If you are interesting anyways you dont need it. Dress with style, and win the crowd. I dont need to wear a poofy shirt and cowboy hat to look interesting. I AM interesting. I will be noticed. I think the only thing peacocking does is make people look at you like you are fucked up looking, and it helps you overcome your AA because you look ridiculous. That's my opinion. I will wear necklaces and stuff. Just nothing way over the top.

Pretty much agree with the above. Charisma should be enough as a means of 'peacocking'. Trouble is you need to be congruent with who you are anyway.

I prefer not to bother as I want the girl to like me for being ME! I just wouldn't feel comfortable. This is not any sort of anxiety based on not liking to be the centre of attention (not a problem for me really), I just don't want to be the centre of attention for the wrong reasons.

Last time I was in Vegas my buddy threw a kilt at me and said we are wearing this tonight. After a few shots of Goose I went out to the strip in a Kilt worn traditionaly. Meaning with my balls hanging loose in the wind. First thing I have to say, we had shit load of women stop us on the street to talk to us. Both my buddy and myself are built well and we wore tight shirts to go with the kilt. I had many requests to lift up my kilt to see if I am wearing it right :)

I had two groups of chicks take pictures with me and overall attention, and I mean positive attention was much higher than it is when I go dressed in shirt and jeans. I am not saying solely depend on peacocking but it sure helps if you pick something that enhances your look.

I have to say, I did notice a dude at one of the clubs we went to that had a full body pink gorilla costume on. Yeah that one I don't get but he too was getting attention lol.

My only mistake that night was that I was shit faced beyond recovery and did not turn that positive experience in a close. After that trip I have bought a kilt and plan to wear it on my upcoming trip there.
