Hopefully this is the only thread I have to make. I need help, but not the typical afc help though. I'm good looking, I know the ins and outs of body language, and I know all I need to know about how to attract girls. My problem isn't trying to figure girls out, it's a combination of 2 things: 1. I care too much about the outcome and what girls think 2. I'm not able to control just being me when around certain girls I'm after (it happens at random.....which i don't like) There have been a multitude of times when I've been in a certain state of mind (I have NO idea how to control it) where I just decide I don't give a fuck and just decide to have fun......and everything comes naturally. There have also been a number of times where I've been Hella AFC and the girls will KEEP things moving forward for me. In all of these instances I KNOW it's because though I was afc with them, I'm just myself with everyone else and am usually the one offering value in social situations so they get to see the real me at work that way. This is what I want to learn to control. Not giving a fuck and learning to just be me. If there's any advice, product recommendations, or whatever I would greatly appreciate it. |

What you describe is very common and is something most guys face while transitioning from your old AFC self to your new confident/better/improved self. It all boils down to core confidence. As you know, consistently confident guys dont give a fuck as they are completely and utterly sure of themselves at any given time, its as simple as that. It sounds like youre at a point where most of the time you are being your new self, but youre still switching back to your old self occasionally. This is normal. Keep hammering away at it and as you have more and more 'in state' and confident pick ups/moments, the AFCness will gradually disappear. Every single time you have one of those 'on top of the world' nights where you are literally unstoppable and feeling invincible, reflect back on this night regularly until your next night out. Visualizing this will help you remember that confident state (in detail) and will help you get back into that state. Also do some searching on this forum for 'getting into state' and state control. What you're describing is a state shift back to your old AFC states. |

Well good to know I'm making progress.....I was thinking of going on a pua resource binge but I think that would be more hurtful then helpful. Besides a couple of RSD programs, I think i'm going to lay off the PUA stuff, stop focusing on women, and just focus on college and getting my career to take off. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what you've said, it would be beneficial for me to just focus on other stuff in my life while the new me solidifies. All this focus on trying to get girls seems to get detrimental to the process......because it just adds to my over analyzing AFC fears. Well thank you for your help. |

No thats not what I meant. Shying away from these fears will not help. I dont see any reason why you cannot focus on your career as well as women. Keep in mind we all need a balance in life, this is key to happiness! What I WOULDNT do is obsess about trying to bet better with women as you're just going to end up pressurizing yourself and over-analyzing as you've mentioned. Continue your usual social life, except make an effort to face your fears when you're out and as a result you will gradually improve. We all have our daemons to face, and we need to do just that, face them head on. And remember you have all the time in the world. Just make sure that you are constantly putting yourself outside of your comfort zone in order to develop that confidence and you WILL progress. |
