Post subject:  Preparing For Bootcamp

As an AFC brand spanking new to the community, I was hoping to get some advice on preparation for a boot camp with Adam Lyons. I know he claims you can go as a complete novice and see results, but I'm more interested in being able to get the best lessons for my time and money spent.

That being said, are there some things I can learn/read BEFORE the bootcamp that are fairly easy to grasp and get out of the way so I can focus more on the techniques specific to Adam rather than wasting his talents on teaching me pua basics?

Also, any suggested readign material? I'm about to go Amazon shopping to expand my knowledge base. So far I've only read "The Game" by Neil Strauss.

The Game by Neil Strauss is definitely a must read. Its probably the one thing that turned most of us to PUA and this site.

I think the biggest thing for me was understanding that there are a lot of different teachers/gurus and a lot of different books.

In the end though, you take what you learn and apply it to yourself. There is no cookie cutter mold and no set lines that will work in every situation. When you start, do what your told, but you will quickly learn that what works for the gurus needs to be tweaked and adjusted to work for you. These tweaks and adjustments will only come out of practice....so practice practice practice.

Some of the books that I have read are:

- The Game
- Rules of The Game
- 60 Years Of Challenge Complete Game Revision System
- http://www.gunwitch.com/

Good luck with the bootcamp. Make sure to post a review.

Niko, Dr.Ass, thanks for the reply!

I read The Game...like you said, definately turned me on to this community (though I am taking the moral of the story to heart as well). I will purchase Rules of the Game as well. Like I said, I just don't want to be given time with the number 1 raked PUA at the moment...and waste on being a complete newbie.

I will defiantely post a review! I am excited, you have no idea. hah.
