Post subject:  How to game a female Psicologistl?
I met this girl over the internet though i knew her before from a class i had during university.Moreover once i tried to hit on her at a bar but nothing happened. So today we had a date over coffee (she wanted to take coffee and ask me out a couple of times ago and i said i could not) till today. We met at this coffee place each one in his car and i was a bit nervous when i had her in front of me. She is an experiencied psicologist and i feel like she is analizing all the time so i let her do the talking and show interest in her proffession which i do ( i am a lawyer by the way ) and answered the questions, she was really nice, pretty and think quite the same as i do. I paid the bill and then we went separate ways cause she had to meet some friends and i had to do some shopping. What do you thinks guys were my mistakes and what should i do in the future?? :?

I'm a female psychologist (well, don't have my degree quite yet ...)

You really really really shouldn't be scared! She's not analyzing you (well, not more than you are ... you're in this forum, so I'd say there is at least one field of psychology you know more about than her ;-)

This myth about psychologists ... we're not magicians and we don't have x-ray glasses and if we did, most of us would not use it in private.
(Is she a therapist by the way? Or simply a psych Major/PhD? what is her field?)

Don't ever say anything nervous like "Oh ... so I guess you know everything about me now ..." or "I better watch out what I say"
a) every AFC does that
b) we hate it
c) it shows you are intimidated, maybe looking up to us ... not attractive
d) we've heard it before ... it's false and lame!

I mean, YOU'RE a LAWYER. That's a tough profession and actually it takes much more to get through law school than to become a psychologist, trust me!

Basically psychology is fun because it's just common sense, human behavoir which never gets boring + science.

So toy with her about her profession (maybe make a bet that you as a lawyer are better at seeing through ppl / or bet on someones behavior/ reaction to sth crazy you do, maybe neg her about some things concerning her profession.

DON'T ask her to explain situations or analyze stuff
DON'T make jokes based on theories by Sigmund Freud ... unless you have some cool anal/oral fixation situational joke maybe ...

Oh - and DON'T confuse schizophrenia with Dissociative Identity Disorder - we hate that :D

You're more of a psychiatrist or psychologist than your girl. You sat there and listened to all her bullshit? WTF? The problem with your gig was that you let her play "psychology". Psychology should not be a game. It should not be a part of her social life. What YOU should have done was to run WHAT EVER THE HELL YOU WANT as you see fit and if she attempts to EVER recollect some F'd up study studied to tell you one thing or another, just look at her like a pathetic little kid and go, "really . . .that's nice. . .what else did you learn in school? . . ."

. . . and do confuse every fucking disorder you can thing of. Nobody gives a shit. And women as they are, you could probably confuse her into thinking that your rants are probably more true than her texts.

This is simply EXACTLY as things are . . .

Thanks guys for your help, i think you are both right and i will follow your advice next time i see her or another psychologist. I won´t talk about that thing at all and will try to play fun and do my stuff.
