Post subject:  Having a Role Model - Learning Good Body Language

Hey guys.

I've been hearing time and time again, that you should have a role model. Someone who excels in something you strive to achieve.

My mission is to improve my body language as much as possible. I want to not only look comfortable and at ease with myself, but also interesting.

So, I know that I'm supposed to mirror the body language of a famous person or actor. Alright, fair enough.

But how am I supposed to do that? Watch a movie, and mirror how the actor moves and expresses himself? Or should I try watching him how he behaves in an interview, TV show or how he stands in a magazine picture.

Thanks in Advance.

Yeah, watching movies that they appear in is a good idea. For example, the character Tyler Durden from "Fight Club" is an excellent role model for alpha male body language and speaking.

Mirroring sounds like a good way to learn, obviously not every little thing, just things you do naturally like walking, hand gestures, sitting, posture, things like that.

I think my role model would have to be Will Smith in Fresh Prince! Lol i think he's the perfect example of C&F.

Question: I've actually been thinking about this a lot myself, like things you can do to make your life more like that of an action star. You know, being tossed into an unexpected situation, especially one involving a random girl, you start out hating each other and by the end you ability to think on your feet through worsening situations changes her mind. Just being more confident and interesting in general I guess.

Weird thing is, I never really noticed before I started really paying attention how much time actors like Harrison Ford, Nathan Fillion, or even more classic ones like Cary Grant spend looking COMPLETELY CONFUSED. All three have this "oh shit" look of complete disbelief that appears whenever the situation worsens. This seems to go completely against the idea of being confident and in control, yet they don't make em much more alpha male than these guys. Any thoughts?
