| Post subject: | coffee shop opener |
i started doing this for real with a wingman we hit up day game and night game once a week each. for day game we have a route that we use hitting coffee shops book stores. we seem to have a lot of luck in bookstores. but none in coffee shops. the line we used was "whats good here?" and then try to change the topic. anyone have a good coffee shop day opener? |

I think this is just a functional opener. That might be why its not working as well. In stead of asking a question that can lead to a story, you are just asking a question that leads towards a function or short helping response.Try thinking of something like "Ohh xxxxx Happened to me here last week!" etc. |

If you're asking a question to start a conversation try finding something to open with that incorporates a distinct reason for asking in the moment, and a distinct reason for asking the set. Almost any well-constructed opinion opener will work in this situation. What opener is working for you in bookstores? |

the book store opener we use is for the most part "hey my cousin like twilight got anything to recommend?" but in this case it works well because i have a picture of my actual cousin on my phone (prop) and it can lead to a multitude of stories. so what I'm getting for a coffee shop opener this is i should walk up to siting girls and be like oh X happened to me here last week" then take a seat and be like I'm meeting a friend here. story about wing. wing walks in introductions. he gives false time constraint. another story. numbers bounce? |
