I have one problem when it comes to pick up. Keeping a conversation going. Now there are some girls that I can talk to for hours and hours without even having one awkward silence but when I'm opening a set I never really talk to then I'm always stressing that I'll run out of shit to say. You have any advice? I usually try to multi-thread but you can only use that routine for so long. Any advice here? |

Read the paper, scan through a magazine, or watch the news on TV. Get a grip on the current events. Then find a topic that's interesting. Take the story behind it, condense it down to about 30-60 seconds of verbal material, then write that down in a notebook to help you memorize it. Do this every day. Pretty soon, you'll have compiled a pretty decent collection of canned material that you can draw from memory when ever there is a lull in a conversation. |
