What's up everyone? Glad to be a part of these forums, seems like a great place to get started for me. Let me lay down my situation for you: 20 years old, starting college in the fall, decent/good looking guy, in shape, very chill job that makes great money for a guy like me. My girl problems: never had any sexual experiences, 0 gfs, 0 kisses etc. etc. I was a loser in high school and never went to any parties, had few friends that I didn't hang out with very often. Fast forward to now: I can talk to people now[waaay better than I was in highschool], most people think I'm a really cool guy although I don't hang out with anybody[I kinda f'ed up with the law as highschool ended for me], but I'm ready to put that behind me and ditch the loner mentality. I can talk to most cool guys really well and befriend them easily, it's girls in general I'm having trouble with. Sometimes I just talk about random stuff with them, but also I fail in sexual talk and kinoing them in any way. About a month ago I asked a girl out at work that I never talked to and she said yes and I got her number, only to be rejected two days later. Apparently she's going to college away from home so she didn't think a relationship was a good idea. I believe that was an excuse and credit her not wanting to date me after she said yes due to my lack of game and making her uncomfortable. I accepted her offer to be friends simply because I've never had many girl friends, and was texting her a little bit but I stopped because I was always the one initiating the texts. I feel its time to move on from this bitch mindset and become a man. I'm ready to get into the game, I'm just unsure as to how to take my first steps considering I've got almost 0 experience with women. Sure I can talk to them at times but not the way I want to. Now that you guys are aware of my situation, do you think any self help materials[books, dvds etc] would be a good idea for me? If so, what ones? Again, the only real reason I would be considered a 'loser' is because I'm a loner and my lack of experience with girls. I don't want you guys to get the impression that I'm antisocial because I can't talk to people, quite the opposite many people have offered me to hang out with them and I decline. I'm through with that though. Thanks for any replies/comments. I'll probably start a journal in the journal area pretty soon if anyone's interested in following my journey. I've got a ton of goals PU and non-PU related so it's gonna be a fun ride for me. |

Sounds like you've had some improvement since high school, which is really good to hear. I've got a ton of goals PU and non-PU related so it's gonna be a fun ride for me. About self-improvement material, I highly recommend it. Anything you can find. There are the obvious pick-up related ones, like 'The Game' (which is more of a memoir) and "Rules of the Game", but there are tons of others that aren't directly related to pick-up that have just as much if not MORE value. I am currently reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, and I love it. It was written over 70 years ago, but has contemporary and relatable content, is organized extremely well, and has already changed the way I interact with people. It's only 10$ at any book store. There are tons of others and I recommend you pick up whatever you can. Everything helps! |

Some others: - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Psycho Cybernetics (haven't read it, but heard great things) - The Power of Now (same story, haven't read it) |
