Post subject:  Intimidated/alpha out by old school friends

Ok, so now where ever i go in the world people love me. I get on with all new people i meet and have no problems.

At school i was known to be a looser, and would always have people AMOG me, start fights on me in groups etc... and it wasn't cool to be my friend.

Anyway, now when i meet old school friends out, 1 on 1 they are fine and nice, as soon as there are other people around, my new friends, or other old school friends, they start acting like dicks and target me again like at school, to make them socially higher.

I have recently been losing one of my latest closest friends because we were the titts, then some guy who i used to go to school with got a job at my gym with my friend. Since then my friend has now wandered away from as though its not cool to hang out with me any more and he seems as though he doesn't want to admit to the other guy we are close friends.

I've tried alot of ways to over come this, but i just fall into the loser trap. I'm sure alot of other people in this forum get this?

I would just pretend that I don't know them and laugh at them with my new friends..
If that wouldn't help, I'd just show them the magic of krav maga and introduce them
to the world of pain and suffering.

Can't offer you any good advices here, I weren't an alpha male or anything like that
in my ES & HS days, but I've been their biggest fear.
But I would do what I've written in the first sentence, just ignore them, ask them who
the fuck are they, laugh at them, etc. :)

Well it's really hard tbh....

my mate is very socially driven, and like at first i ignored them...

then he brought up one day, o i knew you at school, you were a looser, you were this and that etc... really de valueing me, behind my back etc... just building my whole profile up like shit.

It sucks.

"I know. It's amazing how times have changed, isn't it? Now I'm fucking awesome and you're ... well, you're still you."

Something like that, said with an honest easy-going smile is all that's necessary.

If you seem affected by whatever someone is doing, they will continue that behavior because the goal is to affect you. This is basic pickup 101.

It's not like that though, they could insult me in that way.
It's more of a general whole mood, and in group situations i get singled out, or the way he talks about me is devaluing. It's hard to explain.
It's like what ever i say doesn't matter, and theres no way of me becoming in charge of the frame due to his mind set believing i am a worthless piece of shit.

I remember when reading The Game, there was this part where Neil Strauss was at a restaraunt with a bunch of girls and Andy Dick was there. Andy got all the attention because he was the famous one, and then Neil was about to go back into his shell thinking there was nothing he could do. But then he thought, screw it, and started playing up his game and then everybody was giving him all the attention, even Andy.

Maybe when you are around people that didn't know you then, you are free to be the person you are now because there are no limiting beliefs. Now you have to figure out how to conquer those limiting beliefs around the people you knew then. You gotta DHV and not be afraid to do it around your high school associates.
